“Do not stand By my grave, and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep- I am the thousand winds that blow I am the diamond glints in snow I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle, autumn rain. As you awake with morning’s hush, I am the swift up-flinging rush Of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the day transcending soft night. Do not stand By my grave, and cry- I am not there. I did not die.”

“Leslie receptionist and Simone a nurse from North Shore clinic are real gems, both of them are so welcoming, professional and efficient. I like their fees as well, most services are free for students and occasional low reasonable fees for vaccines. Highly recommend North Shore clinic, they have such a friendly and welcoming staff!”

“As a student who comes to this school and writes with a genuine opinion, to whoever is reading this, especially parents, I can confirm to you that the previous 1-star reviews are absolutely baloney. I am just a student. I am currently at Macleans college and been here for a couple of years hence sharing my general opinion. I AM NOT part of any school administration that writes the review because they are biased. Firstly I see these reviews talking about "racism". In the real life, of course its going to exist. Someone will always judge you based on the way you look. But it doesn't mean that it isn't dealt with at this school. There are serious consequences for racism so all aside, its not an issue here at Macleans. Im not a white student either, but I haven't seen 1 teacher at this school, of all I have ever talked to been racist ONCE, ever. Secondly, I see them talking about "They only care about academics." Well its partly true. Your child deserves quality education and the school wants them to be successful in life and if you're not willing to learn or at least give a damn about learning for your own good, then don't blame the school for it. Teachers here actually do a reasonable job at shaping students into successful academics and you also have house tutoring systems and more if you find learning the stuff hard. Ungrateful students who choose to post these bad reviews simply don't realise the plentiful resources they have to become a sucessful student. Now I know that not everyone likes studying. At times, me neither, but the school offers more than academic education. It aims to support a student's goals, and also opens SO much extracurriculars and sports activities if your child is intrested in sports. The reason why I said academic focus is "partly true" is that the school is simply looking for a lot more than just academic excellence. With the wide variety of extracurriculars it also helps students develop skills and become involved with activities they enjoy in the future. Uniform. Theres heaters in classrooms during winter and you have a sweater. Everything else very self-explanatory. Bullying. Yes, sadly, it happens. The bullying obviously comes from students who are either stressed about their life / have something going on in their lives or they're just a prick who seeks attention. I also consider the factor that the stress often comes from the way the school runs, as its harsh academic focus and other aspects can sometimes impact the students. It is NOT easily ignored. The amount of guidance from groups like consuelling etc will support you if you are bullied, and it will also be dealt very seriously by the school. The strict rules and conservative approach actually cut the amount of bullying in this school. I have personally seen many students get stood down or even removed from the school for being stupid. Actually, in my first few years I didn't get along with people either. I was also emotionally impacted by bullying. However, the school helped me become the person I am today through guidance and support. I wasn't an academic nor sporty person either. I hated both. But through reflection and growth I finally understood, the school was trying to help me. It never intended to harm me in any way. And do not say "the school doesn't care about you", that is the most untrue, pathetic, and ungrateful statement I've heard. There are school counselling for a reason. If you are to the point that you actually think the school doesn't care about you at all you need some serious self-reflection. Macleans does a great job at shaping the students so that they have maturity, responsibility, empathy and more. All this, is part of high school. It strives to help your child become sucessful in life and supports their dreams e.g sports and even esports/gaming (if thats what they really want). The “students” who are writing those 1-star reviews are the ones who either have something against this school and have the maturity of a 5-year-old or just don't care about school and hate it.”

“I graduated from Otago Polytechnic at the end of last year. I had an incredible and positive experience in my uni. The lectures are professionals in their field and always answer questions and spare additional time for student support and development. My course was in an IT major and I learned new things and approaches because the program is cutting edge and contains all new trends as Data Science, CHI, etc. The staff also friendly and helpful, I got much help especially in the beginning when I was fresh to the country and frequently needed a piece of advice and the right person always was there. I am happy that I was studying here and every time remember my uni with much appreciations. Thank you to my teachers and people who work there very hard and help students every day, you made my life brighter and definitely open new doors! All the best!”

“I'm giving 5 stars cause I had a good experience. It was the year 2019, these kids from MH thought they were hard. We showed them up G. The moment they came on our turf, no question asked G. 2 right hook and a shin, and those bloody jokes were out cold. Come to this school if you want to become a UFC fighter one day. Also on Wednesday its weed suck party in the Whainga toilets.”

“Date: 24th May 2025 Outstanding Staff, Service and Product Quality I have been to Westview Pharmacy for many years off and on, but now that my Doctors from Kelston Medical Centre have moved in right next door to Westview Pharmacy and in the same building as the Blood Testing Centre, it's perfect for myself, so I see all Three Teams more often now. In todays busy world, sometimes we are quick to Complain but slow to Compliment, so I would like to Compliment the whole Westview Pharmacy Team on their outstanding service. I mean this from both the Business side with Product Quality and Range, their Systems Efficiency and the Technology used to help provide and streamline the customer service journey. Through to the Team of Staff and how they handle their Customers in their normal day to day Operations of a modern, trading Pharmacy. Are the Staff knowledgeable, do they know what Products they Sell, What those Products Do and Don't Do which is just as important. Do they Offer Advice, are they good Problem Solvers, Do they provide Solutions within the strict rules that they have to operate within. I'm a tough reviewer, having been in business since age 18, starting in 1980, building 8 companies, honoured to Win 7 First Place Bus Awards, out of habit I am always looking around and thinking what I would do, how to improve it etc. I have to be honest and tell you that I can not fault the Team at Westview, even on the busy days I have been there, not once have I see a team member get flustered, raise a voice, get out of sync and I've seen some, what you might call rude customers and the team never missed a beat. It's the little details that can mean the most to us, their warm first name Hellos, How's your Day, wont keep you long through to the small details, like the Reminder Texts for when your Script is ready to Pick Up, and also when your Repeat Meds are due, and ready to pick up, weeks after I've already forgotten, is a real meaningful benefit, that is the reason Why I'm writing this tonight as I got my reminder text when I turned my mobile back on after three days. The pharmacy is modern, nice and light, clean, always clean I've noticed, their Product Range is huge for what looks like a small Pharmacy, and being right next door to the Blood Testing, and Kelston Medical Ctr who I have been with since I was 5 years old, is so handy and a real time saver. They Passed the Emergency Test easily, as one of my meds was running out, not just in Auckland, but Worldwide (I thought my Doc was joking) however I need not have worried as the Doctor told me when I arrived to see him, that he had already called Westview and they were the only Pharmacy that had Stock of my medication. Westview Pharmacy tucked away in Glen Eden is Modern, has the Technology that helps us and is backed by a Team of Staff who know their Products, understands customer service, and practices it professionally everyday and deserve all the Compliments they receive, they surely earn it. Thank You from me to the whole Team at Westview Pharmacy you've always come through and being the type of person I am, (old) you have earnt my loyalty for many years to come. All the best Kev Borg Results”

“It's an amazing school, and I think it may be one of the best high schools on the north island. Firstly, its NCEA pass rate is high as a PRIVATE SCHOOL. Secondly, it's in an amazing location. You feel like u are in the countryside from all the breathtaking views. Lastly, all the teachers at the school teach from heart, and it really shows how much they care for the students. In conclusion, it is an astonishing, high achieving school that I think is highly underrated.”

“It is a private high school optimized for college entrance. It offers one of the few IB courses in New Zealand, and the majority of students are of Asian descent. Accommodation is poor and facilities are poor, but student achievement levels are among the best in New Zealand. The school's curriculum focuses on IB and has a university-going and academic-oriented atmosphere. Graduate university outcomes are generally among the best in New Zealand, but due to the small number of students there are gaps between graduate groups each year. Graduates go to university in various places including New Zealand, Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and all over the world. However, from the point of view of children studying abroad, I do not recommend it due to poor dormitories. However, there is no problem as long as one of the parents lives together.”
