Really nice little spot close to a beach access. Has free toilets, and a proper sink you can do your dishes in. Best part is you don’t have to be self-contained to use it! Highly recommend:)
Def worth it to head the 5 mins off the highway for this Freedom campsite. Can hear the waves from the site, which is really just a big field, has some porta-potties and dump station on site. There are flush toilets 1 minute away Beside a huge playground for the kids. Says has water but we gave it a hard pass as looks a bit sketchy. Limited to 2 days here and no fires.
Nice and quiet place to stay. Beautiful walks to the beach and seen a seal. I would come back to stay. Also dog friendly
The campground is spacious and there are flush toilets open 24/7 just by the nearby playground about a minutes walk away. Easy access to beach and blueskin bay, nice and tranquil with good viewing areas for sunset and rise.
Great setup. Space for motor homes, tents and cars. Toilets dump station and rubbish bins. Beautiful beach and estery. It's a shame all councils don't do an area like this
A huge place for free camping Self contained and none Self contained Next to the Beach, toilet are open all day and night, water facilities are available, no shower. 20 minutes drive to dunedin
What a wonderful campground provided free by the people of Dundin. Toilet blocks with water and a dump station, nestled into the sand dunes, and surrounded by trees. Plenty of walks and spectacular wildlife. Dogs welcome but respect the wildlife when walking around the peninsula.
Lovely beach and park.. close to main road.. Surf life guards on beach, lots of birds, shellfish etc. Sand nice clean sand. FREE to stay 2 nights. DOC monitored well. Perfect spot for families to enjoy outdoors. Toilets, changing rooms, rubbish bins.. Excellent
