If you love animals read this. Keep out of the restricted area. Read the signs! The penguins are really really shy and start to get back from 3 / 4 pm and if they see any humans sitting or up too near they track they will go back in the sea for another night... We were lucky to spot 2 yellow but only because we were hiding behind the big tree log. Respect the 200 meter rules other this site will be closed. We tried to wait to spot other but too many people are going in the restricted area. I kept telling to the people to move as it's restricted. They all told us they didn't saw the signs... there is a real problem with the communication...

An exceptionally beautiful beach where, with a bit of luck, you might spot many sea lions. Even if you don't see any, the beach is worth a visit, but the walk up and down is a bit arduous or takes a bit more time.

Awesome place, huge dunes and the sea lions were there!

Great walk and views, but no penguins! At least not in Feb 2023. Didn't see any seals either. Must be on a different bay this year. Can get cold at sunset so bring a jacket or jumper!

Beautiful drive here, nice walk through sheep and sand dunes, long walk along the beach so be sure to take sunscreen and water. Current here is very strong for swimming. There were lots of pesky seals down the other end of the beach preventing access around the rocks.

I was lucky enough to see the sea lions bask in the beach and penguins from a distance. The walk down isn’t too bad, but the walk back up can be a bit challenging in the sand. The sand is quite loose.

Great shore line. Require half a kilometre hiking to get down. The foot path vanishes completely into sand after a small stretch. While ascending it is quite a task walking in the loose sand. The shore line is just amazing.. beautiful crystal clear waters bombarding the shore. The standing rocks inside the sea add a solid background. What really amazed me is that the speed of the wind blowing there. Quite synonymous with the name 'Sandfly beach', sand keeps flying literally as thin layers with great speed. Eyes, nose and camera lenses are not spared by the hitting sand. One can see lot of fur seals basking on the sand dunes. Care should be taken to not disturb them and they should be observed from a safe distance. I had wonderful experience. This place is highly recommended as a not-to-miss spot.
