Great hidden beach area to take long walks on a great sunny day. Itβs a good 15minute drive from Port Chalmers but 20-30minute drive from the City depending on which suburb One resides in. There is ample parking space by the park area with public toilets nearby as well. Depending on oneβs objective, there are caves on the other side of the beach but the area which the pictures were taken have a good small rock formations if one is adventurous enough to scale the utmost end part of the beach. There are cliff areas for people who love to do cliff climbing. One can easily have a beach mat, an outdoor umbrella and can have a great lounging/relaxing space to get some good suntanning sessions in. Itβs a nicely hidden gem for a fun but private beach adventure.

One of Dunedin's glorious, long, open, sandy beaches. Wonderful walks, with a big cave at the North end, lots of cliffs for the climbers, and safe swimming all year round. Backed by a tidy domain cared for by a thriving little beach community.

Beautiful beach especially in the evening. Went there in December, almost no people. It's just really windy there, so take something warm with you. There are also many places to climb, so if you're into it, definitely take your climbing shoes with you. There is also a playground for kids. Easy access from carpark.
