Pukehina Beach Store & Takeaway favours a classic fish-and-chips line-up with clear, tidy flavours. Good value shows in the serve sizes. Blue cod and other fillets arrive fresh with light batter. Easy to carry out for a simple night in. Buns hold well and patties land juicy.
Chips were not good curry role good. Fish good. Would i have Fish and chips again from there? Only if I had to.
Omg such an amazing fish and chip feed after a long day at work. The place was busy so I had to wait 20 minutes for my order but it was well worth it. I got a hoki fillet and chips and the hoki was large and tasted sooo fresh. Plenty of chips - I ate everything. Highly recommend this takeaway store! Eating them by the sea makes them taste even better too.
Best fish and chips in the Bay of Plenty. Everything is so fresh... You don't get that sluggish feeling after eating them. The burgers are absolute fire. They obviously change their oil often. This place rocks.
Great wee beach store with everything you might need. We called in to order dinner for our first night staying locally in an air bnb. The chap behind the counter greeted us & immediately went to cook our orderβ¦2 burgers and fries. They were all very tasty.
Friendly staff, good fish and chips over the counter (more of a corner store than restaurant), no indoor seating area but a park bench nearby with a sea view by the public toilets. Parking available, also good for buying bits and bobs for the road.
Remarkably good takeaway food for a convenience store! Excellent fish n chips, really good cheeseburger. Obviously great snacks/drinks, too. My only issue is that, whenever I call to order, they interrupt to end the order before I've finished telling them everything I want.
Beautiful beach, awesome fish and chips from the store, at very reasonable prices. Store is tiny but well stocked.
I'm from auckland and this little store beats ALL the fish n chips shops in Auckland food absolutely delicious and way generous portions so much so we could only eat half of what we ordered and you can see by the paper theres basically no greasy paper at all and the burgers.... OMG!!!! If this place was in Auckland people would travel far and wide for it... going back today
