I online ordered Thai tonight to be delivered and had some issues with the Uber driver delivery restaurant manager turned up at my place and got it sorted Highly recommend thai star tepuke
We ordered the a pawn & chicken SautΓ© dish medium hot. Both dishes were vindaloo hot & the pawn dish was fluorescent. Thai star must of got a new chef that has not met the standards of previous excellent chefs. We will rush to order again from Thai star.
Two words.......RIP Off... Leader brand spring rolls, catering pack fish cakes and curry puffs all from the Gilmore freezer. Dry over salty peanut satay tenderloin chicken skewers which were on a half sized skewer and only half filled that! Rice container not even full and a $5.70 roti no bigger than my mobile phone. So disappointed wont be back. Beef yellow curry had about half a beef schnitzel cutlet worth of meat in it. Yeah...so pretty dissatisfied.
We went down for a feed for the first time in a while last night. The food is good and serving sizes were good but at the upper end of what I am prepared to pay in the current economic climate. Last time we were there the beers were $9.00 each and I thought that was overpriced, last night they were $12.00 each. This is Jellicoe Street, Te Puke, not Cuba Street Wellington or Queen Street Auckland. I refuse to pay $12.00 for a beer and will stick to water when a restaurant tries to charge me $12.00 for a beer. If the waitress was a drop dead gorgeous young lass I might be tempted but not when it is a skinny little indian boy.
The meal of duck Massumun was exquisite. My wife and I revealed in the very artistic and very generous dishes ,some went home in a container for later.. Top restaurant .. The Bay needs to know about this place. Thank you fine people.
AMAZING Thai food!! Pad Thai, chicken cashew - both absolutley delicious, piping hot and fresh!! Service with a smile - bonus !
