   Absolutely adore this hidden gem and try to pop over from Whakatāne every few months. It's a treasure trove of secondhand books, spanking all genres. The owner has incredible knowledge and can help you find anything. Make sure you take an antihistamine (dusty for obvious reasons) and have a coffee before you arrive, as once you're here, you could easily spend hours perusing the shelves.

   This place is a secondhand book buyers heaven. It is a matter of what not to buy as you will always find more books than you have funds to buy. We came away with 10 books but had to make some hard choices what to leave behind. It is a shame we Live over 80 kms away.

   Always worth a visit. Now with the 3rd store there is even more to look at. So many books, you can spend hours if you have the time going through them. I have never left empty handed, always visit when passing through Tauranga. I have even done trips just to Tauranga to go to this store, like last week, took my daughter over from Hamilton, with this store being our main destination, then returning to Hamilton (with a few detours, but only went this way to go to the store)

   I couldn’t believe how amazing this book store is. Loved it and the staff are fantastic. With hundreds and thousands of books they guide you to the right bookshelf in an instant. I was after some kids books from the 80s which had been impossible to find and I purchased 3 here at Xanadu. It’s worth finding it and it’s not just books, puzzles, cds, records etc etc.
