   I live in Paengaroa and recently had a houseguest who has an autoimmune disorder. Unfortunately despite our best efforts she had a reaction to something in the environment at my house so we had to urgently find her alternative accommodation. The manager (owner?) let us come over and check out the room first to see if she had any reaction, and was very helpful and understanding. My friends (three of them) enjoyed their stay and had nothing but good things to say about their time there. They're coming back next week and are booked to stay there again. I'm so relieved, and so pleased that we have an excellent option like this within walking distance of our house. We will definitely be booking it again if larger groups of friends/whanau want to stay with us :)

   Even in spite of failing to fill his rooms on New Year’s Eve, the owner treated myself and my companions with palpable distaste. Upon inquiry we were immediately treated to a gruff insinuation that we planned to have a party at the quiet motel. This was followed by a demand for us to pay a bond $100 more expensive than their own policy would suggest, and more expensive than the room itself. The following morning we were accused of having extra guests to stay (something the owner was unable to back up). Then, upon inspection of the room he was visibly disappointed that it was in a good/tidy state, and let out an audible sigh upon the realisation he’d have to return our bond. To be clear - we weren’t even at the motel for much of the evening, and certainly didn’t cause any disturbances. Projecting the same frown given to me after I wished him a cheerful happy new year, I give Stan at ‘Junktion’ motel 1 star, and kindly suggest that you enjoy a night elsewhere. A dumpster, for instance, would be more welcoming.

   My son myself and grandsons stayed here during Tai Mitchell. what a beautiful property. pristine and spotless. love the grounds..trees..the walk around the park. wish I could've stayed longer. Fruit trees and gardens really welcoming. I would rather be in this place than overseas. priceless serenity. thankyou so much..judith

   Friendly man at Reception. Nice and quiet motel. Clean and tidy. Only disappointment, one of the shower heads weren't working, in the unit that had two showers, an old 2019 magazine left to read and think the tea bags were old needed 4bags for one cup
