   Great park for dogs, but winter mud brings it down. East Taieri Dog Park is a fantastic spot to let your dog(s) run off-leash with plenty of space for them to explore and play. I really appreciate the closed-off area specifically for smaller breeds—it’s a thoughtful feature that keeps them from feeling overwhelmed by larger dogs. There are ample benches and seating for humans to rest after strolling around, and the park is always stocked with free dog waste bags. Covered bins are well-placed throughout, so you never have to take smelly bags home or leave them in your car. One of the highlights is the exercise area, complete with tunnels, bridges, and tyre hoops. This section is nicely mulched with wood chips and bark, helping to keep it relatively dry. The lawns are spacious and stay green even in winter, which is lovely. However, the park does have a major downside during the wetter months. Heavy or prolonged rain leaves large parts of the park muddy, including some paths, making it a less enjoyable experience. If you’re visiting in winter, be prepared for messy paws (and shoes). There’s a small parking lot and additional on-road parking available. Double-gated access adds a layer of safety to prevent accidental escapes, and there’s a convenient water fountain near the entrance for thirsty pups and rinsing muddy paws. The community here is friendly, and most dogs are well-mannered, making visits pleasant—if you can overlook the mud during the rainy season. In summer, though, the park is dry, well-kept, and an absolute joy.

   This is an awesome dog park with a great walking track loop. It's fully fenced in and there's two different areas in the big dog section so you can find a spot that suits you. There's water for the dogs to drink. Lots of seating is available too. A word of warning, on a rainy day it gets extremely muddy! There's a hose with a spray head near the entrance that you can rinse off your dog with. Bring gumboots if you come on a wet day!

   Great place for dogs to run free but under control. Generally they make friends and end up chasing each other The site has a small dog area which is safer for the them as they can tend to upset the bigger dogs

   Penni loves it There's 2 areas. Peaceful and beautiful. Don't wear good sneakers especially if been raining as muddy. But DONT go around 2:30-3:30 as school next door gets out and traffic everywhere.
