   Dunedin Goldsmiths deserve zero stars after this experience. Went in with a gemstone and diamonds to get a custom ring designed and set. Went in and showed photos of what I wanted he agreed it was possible and said he would email me a mock up / drawing of the design and give me a quote for cost within a week. It then took 2 months, which included me sending 2 emails (which were pretty much ignored), and going in 4 seperate times (with each time being promised to send me a quote "within the week" which never came). Finally 2 months later he gave me a quoted price for the ring however there was absolutely no drawing, no design, no mock up to go with the quoted price, which left me questioning where he got the quoted price from. I finally demanded to see a drawing of the design before moving forward. The drawing of the design I received had changed from what we had spoken about the week prior, with no communication to me about the changes. Each time I went in he changed what we were able to do, originally I went in with 10 diamonds to be set (5 each side of the gemstone), it then went to 6 (3 each side) then when I got the drawing back it only included 4 diamonds (2 each side) again not a lot of communication was given around why this was changing constantly or even that it was changing. I ended up going in and asking for my materials back and taking it to another Jeweller as the entire experience was dragged out beyond belief with little to no communication throughout the process. Would not recommend their services.

   Got my engagement ring resized. They didn't say much, just took my finger size and the ring and said ok. Two resizings later and they said that they can't make it any smaller. Would have appreciated knowing the limitations at the start, so I could at least shop around. Basically, I'm left with $100 less and a ring which is still too big. Its pretty upsetting.

   I had found an image of an engagement ring and asked if I could have something like it done. The product was fine from far but far from good. The botched details of the ring became more apparent once my fiancé had it for a couple weeks. The thing was when she spoke to them they were rude to her. When I spoke to them the tone didn’t change. I paid for reparation work from another jeweller and wish I had used them first. Never again.

   My friend and I had some of our silver jewellery gold plated here. We can't believe how incredible the results are! Extremely reasonably priced as well, especially considering how much sanding and polishing these pieces must have needed. Absolutely lovely staff too :) I couldn't recommend them more

My husband had been planing the ring for some time and actually got to discuss the design one on one with the jeweler Don, a rare thing today as most jeweler stores don't have jewelers on site. After getting a free quote our design was finalized and we could not be happier with the outcome. My Husband was extremely impressed with Don's Craftsmanship and stone setting. Highly recommend.
