    Had a meal here, the coffee was stale but said nothing as felt bad for small local business. But then received a HEFTY fine for using the Big Barrel carpark, not being local we thought it was part of their business and for customers. Will not use this business again as that carpark is a trap for those unaware. Yes I guess we should have read the novel of a sign but as we seen "barrel" it made us think we were OK to use it. I know it's caught a number of people out and it just feels wrong to do that to your customers.

    Table of 4, only ones in there. 30 minute wait and my steak was very good. Others ordered fish and they were very happy too.

    Dropped in for a beer and a glass of wine, seemed like a perfectly solid pub. The sort of place with a pool table and the races on TV screens. Staff were friendly, felt like more of a locals’ joint but we were not at all unwelcome.

    Got 2 steak meals and a blue cod meal with 3 drinks. Was ment to be a jds double and coke but tasted like water, the lemon,lime and bitters was an unusual colour and clearly had an alcoholic taste to it it was asked to be replaced and it was, with a Ginger ale. 1 steak was over cooked and the other under cooked. Blue cod was good though
