I thought the sales people were awesome but wait till you get the install guys arrive! So helpful and professional, quick and no mess.    Smyths Appliances were appointed, via our insurer, as the local representative to support us in replacing our oven. As we had never had dealings with Smyths, we were a bit unsure of what to expect. Well, we were simply blown away by the experience; they were absolutely amazing to deal with. From assessment through to installation, their communication with us was exceptional. They also went over and above, making sure we knew how to use and care for the appliance, plus some great tips for our other whiteware. Their knowledge and attention to detail are outstanding, and they certainly stand out from the crowd. Good old-fashioned service that I have not seen in a long time. We did have to wait a week before they could attend, but now I can see why they are in demand! If you get the service we did, you will not regret your decision purchase from Smyths, or use their install/repair services.

   Our Samsung fridge /freezer was giving us dramas so we enlisted the help of Nathan from Smyths. An Extremely helpful and knowledgeable guy, he quickly diagnosed the problem and even gave us helpful tips for our other appliances. Once the freezer had frosted enough for a repair, Ollie came to our house to carry it out. He did so very efficiently. The cost for the two visits was very reasonable and the freezer has been running great since. I can’t recommend these guys enough!

   We recently chose to use this business for our new laundry, this was fantastic for the initial measure and quote, in fact right up until we paid the deposit, after that it was like the business was done with us, we had to follow up constantly when our laundry would be installed, several days upon us ripping our laundry out we got told it would be delayed 2 weeks, I was not having this and we got it installed earlier due to me complaining about lack of communication not to mention the reception lady who over heard my complaint made the comment "well yes I had to get my kitchen put on hold for your laundry!" The bench was cut the wrong size twice! I went to view the units before paying the bill, and it was "lost" installers arrived to no units at our property or handle for the cupboard and had to make these calls themselves, our side panel never showed up so they used a kickboard, it was only after I refused to pay for this it was discounted from the price despite me bringing the issue up multiple times. we went for a black bench top, the installer cut the 3rd top slightly too small and then used white no more gaps on a black bench to fill this in, so again we had to ring and complain, and not once did we get an applogy from smyths, worst business to deal with would not reccomend

   Recently dealt with the company re ill-fitting oven trays. They were very friendly, approachable and helpful. This approach was evident from the first phone call to the shop - receptionist was very helpful and provided me with various options in event new racks did not fit. I then dealt with a serviceman to the house and a follow up with Chris who suggested other options to remedy the issue. Fantastic team and obviously a great positive culture.    Very friendly staff - although a couple of the sales folks could be a little better on the phone, very noisy in the background, hard to hear, and they tend to go talk to someone in the background in the middle of a call which is disconcerting - especially if you have hearing issues like me and then aren't sure who you're talking to. Good service, but be ultra clear about times and dates and job details with them - and keep instructions to them to an absolute minimum. They might be better with written instructions than over the phone. A basic booking for service was mucked up, leaving one of their servicemen to lift a drier down off a wall bracket on his own, which can't be all that safe. Wrong instructions got passed through at every stage. Delays with the job weren't all their fault, but it would have been good to have actually been informed of delays instead of phoning up. Also, when you have the facility to text a customer... it is expected that you can text back. They say they have no facilities for accessing or reading return texts, which is not something they tell you until you haven't received a reply for ages. All in all their service folks are brilliant, but those at the store/answering the phones don't have what it takes to convey information clearly and efficiently, and it's letting them down. Very good appliances, so far, working perfectly. Very happy with product. EDIT: they returned the wall mount brackets that I needed to keep for spare - in the wrong mailbox, so I have to get those back.
