Yuck pie. It was filled with gelatine or something like a thick brown jelly custard and hardly no mince. I didn’t finish it as it put me off. Waste of my money

Had a pie on several occasions and it was clear and full of gelatine with bugger all meat, It was so gross. I even got a chunk of gelatine that wasn't dissolve properly. I thought it was just a 1 off but ive had it with every pie. The 3rd time i was just stupied to have gone back. If costs are going up dont cut corners, i dont mind paying more for quality food.
It was a bit awkward as a filipino (I think). I thought it was weird that I was doing a review of a well-known bakery in Napier. As if I was stealing some wisey secrets, it was quite defensive, which I didn't appreciate. However, I'm here for the food. - Beef and bacon burger. 6.9/10 Good basic burger. I didn't expect it to be amazing. It's either a silver farm o an angel bay pattie, which is great. Not bad, I'd still but one if I felt like it. - Prawn stick 8.0/10 Nice snack size. At first, i thought I thought it was an artificial crab stick, but I was wrong. Fan of prawns, so this was nice. - Wisey big steak and double B & C pie 7.3/10 It was OK, I like the look of the pie though, rustic. Steak peices were good, but the filling was transparent, so I don't know what that it. It's not a gravy look. - Cheese sausage roll. 7.8/10 Quite small but very nice flavor. Nice seasoned pork meat. I'd buy this again. Overall, it's a popular place, and it's good to see places like this going strong.
I love Wisey's. Food is fabulous. There chips and bacon n egg pies are a favorite. Prices are as expected for quality food. Parking available. No toilet. Friendly staff.
Possibly the best jelly meat pie in town. If loads of thickening is your thing and you don’t mind paying for it.
First time at this place and very impressed. Great food, fast and pleasant service, good price and plenty of customers. Would recommend to all.
We ate there every day for 2 weeks while in town for work. The 3 stars are because I am from the US and the food here is different than what I am used to. Very popular with all the locals. The baked goods here are delicious. You can get in get your food and get on your way quickly. They also make a great coffee. The place is not designed for atmosphere it is to get food and get to work.
Great range at great prices, super friendly staff and great layout. They have paninis and filled breads as well as a good range of sandwiches. Then theres a big range of pies and bacon n egg slabs. Lots of muffins and slices. Just a delicious range. They are so friendly and honest, a staff member came running saying i had spent enough to get a free treat. Loved it.
