$24 for a standard size jug of speights like omfg I know it's called gold medal but that's just outright theft The males toilets would have to be the worst smelling I've ever been in the stench of urine was breath taking health hazard i would recommend wearing gumboots..
Strategically located on the east side of Dunedin’s Octagon, this bar offers pleasant views of the city center. Enjoying a local ale or cider on sunny days is refreshing, while a hot coffee or cocktail suits colder weather. Service is amiable and prompt, with helpful staff. The menu is straightforward yet satisfying, and the ambiance is inviting. On select days, live music caters to younger patrons, enhancing the lively atmosphere.
Went to the Brew Bar for lunch and a coffee. Nice place on the corner of the south part of the Octagon. They have seats and tables outside so you can sit out on a nice day and enjoy the sun while you eat and drink. Coffees were standard, nothing special but not bad. The food was alright. Ordered a platter that had squid, chicken wings, chips and other onion rings. Squid was delicious. Chips were not really seasoned and overcooked. Good place, would come back.

Good beer and great margaritas. Worst pork tacos we ever had, no flavour at all, the pork consisted of 60% fat and seemed to be cooked in water and not fried in a pan. Chips were way too salty.
Always loved the place- brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks. Great team. The Hot Platter is a great sharing dish for the group.
Very nice atmosphere and decor! Distinctive style and the unique vintage decoration really sets a comfortable but classy mood. I ordered the mango cider jar and it was DELICIOUS. Very refreshing and not overwhelmingly sweet. I also ordered the crispy squid without sauce and it was very nice, great texture. Would definitely recommend and will be going again
