Tried this place for the first time the other night for takeaways. We had sweet and sour pork, chicken fried rice, beef chow mein and some wontons and spring rolls. The food was fresh, hot with plenty of meat and we absolutely loved it. Even left overs the next day were good. We will definitely be back.
We ordered our meals via Uber eats, the sweet and sour pork was awesome, perfect, 100 %. The portions were generous and the price was reasonable.
Oh dear. Got 3 different items, vege fried rice, 3 chicken wings, and sweet and sour pork. Nothing overly bad about the fried rice just a little flavour light. Sweet and sour pork...... First bite had a bone in it, second bite had a bone in it! It was also sweet and sweet, no sour. It was pork with bones and sugar water. I didn't have a third bite. $20 thrown in the bin. The chicken wings were cheap at $1.80 each. Only had one bite of one. So, so oily. They must have dirty oil with a high moisture content because clean hot oil does not make oily, bad tasting batter. AVOID THIS PLACE!
Literally the worst Chinese food I have ever tried. Sweet and sour pork was dry, pieces of it had not even been coated in sauce, the won tons were oily and the sweet and sour sauce had no flavour. Combination fried rice had pease in it that were still frozen in the middle.
The best wontons in town! I've loved them since I was a teen. Would very much recommend.
Been going here for years and years. Consistently great food. Smorgasbord which my son loves and such good fresh cooked meals. It's the ONLY place we go to
Food was most excellent. We had Bami Goreng that had lots of fresh veges, and Sizzling Prawns which were also very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the toilets were very very dirty and this makes me wonder what the kitchen hygiene is like.
Great local Chinese takeaway just outside of CPD in Napier. Open on New Years day which was a bonus when most of the other takeaways in Napier were closed. Upon ordering Combination Fried Rice as Gluten Free, the owner / chef came out to double check, amd advise that the beef and soy sauce contained gluten, so he was going to leave those two items out. It was awesome to find a takeaway where the owner knows his ingredients and his customers allergies, so we will definately be back here on our next trip to the bay.
