This place and so many others are over charging and I'm sick of it. I chose the "Gourmet" toasted sandwich at $17 (cheapest thing I could see on menu) which is ridiculous. It is 2 slices of sourdough, not a large sourdough either plus fillings, max 3. If you want cheese that's one of the fillings. How did we end up in a place where people can put gourmet in front of a slice of bread and charge $17. The food was nice at least so 2 stars. Will never return

Probably the most cost effective ham cheese toastie I've ever had. My husband said best burger in town too.

The food was hot and delicious, super quick service too. We had the bacon and the salmon bene. The only thing better than the food was the coffee, definitely worth a visit

Lovely little cafe hidden away, food was really nice, would go back again. We had a roasted sandwich that looked and tasted beautiful, and eggs on toast with side of avo. Coffee was nice, latte and a mocca

Coffee was nice, best ham and cheese toasties in a while, liked getting to choose bread type and fillings. Toasties were crispy on the outside and had plenty of cheese. Fries were rustic and crispy. Good portions. Friendly service. Nice outdoor area. Would recommend as a rest stop on a drive. Clean bathroom.

Whilst other Tirau cafes were closed when 15 of us from the Pukekohe Tramping Club were seeking hot drinks and a snack, the two ladies at this well organised establishment picked up their pace even though closing time Waa elimminent and served exactly what we wanted. Many thanks ,recommended to others and we will be back.

The place looks a little run down from the outside. We were a little worried when we stopped here but the food was absolutely amazing! Definitely worth stopping in!

Best nachos I've had in 100 years! And great coffee too. Thanks so much for letting me have the kids size. It was perfect for me. Beef and bean meat sauce was great. Perfect ratio of corn chips, meat sauce, cheese and sour cream. Love love loved it.

The food and coffee are good however the BLT is quite small for its price. The cafe has a nice outdoor seating and a art gallery in the front to enjoy while having the meal.

Lovely, quirky little cafe. The food was great and came out quite fast. Prices are pretty standard and the serving sizes were good. The only not so good things were that the entry into the cafe is quite awkward as the serving area, the barista area and access to the toilets are all at an intersection with the entrance and everyone was tripping over each other trying to get through and there isn’t much room for people trying to look at the menu and order. Also, the girl serving was a bit snarky - everyone else was lovely though.
