   Always very friendly service, great chicken fried rice for $17. Enough portion size to last for dinner and leftovers for lunch. 10minute service, prompt to answer the phone. Can't ask for much more on a Monday night.

   Placed an order over the phone of $39 combo pack, fried rice and sweet and sour pork. Was told it would take 25min which I was fine with. However once I arrived food was not ready. In total I was waiting 55min for my meal. The hot chips were luke warm, over cooked and tasted stale.The rest of the food was average. This is not my usual fish and chip shop and I’m thankful it’s not. With those wait times you’d expect something amazing.

   Prices aren't really worth it. Fish and chip combos "look" ok. I bought 3 deep fried mussels, fish burger and a large smorgasbord board. ... The mussels are the marinated container ones you buy in the supermarket. (The ones that look like they're soaking in dirty water) I think they washed them as they were very very very chewy and had a slight vinegary and watery taste. Not like a shelled mussel at all! Fish burger was nice. The smorgasbord was a big fail. As nice as it all looks, it's not so nice when you eat it. The broccoli tasted a bit like fish. The food want hot. I feel that someone is going to get really sick and end up in hospital eating this food. Sorry East Star ... You need to up your cooking game.

   Absolutely love this place for all its food,the fish and chips and the Chinese dishes are all so good and it's not overpriced either like most places,the owners are very welcoming as well

   The takeaway food here is good, but not great. It's close to family, making it convenient for picking up fish and chips on the way past. If you're looking for top notch fish and chips, keep looking. However it's a respectable local for a greasy dinner.
