   We recently used Smoke “n” Barrel for department catering and were thoroughly impressed. The food was absolutely delicious, generous in portion size, and beautifully presented — there was more than enough for everyone. The staff were friendly, professional, and a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. The entire department commented on the outstanding quality, with many saying it was the best catering we’ve had in years. On top of that, Smoke “n” Barrel was far more reasonably priced than other catering companies we’ve used, offering exceptional value without compromising on quality. Highly recommended — we will definitely be using them again.

   We recently had a big celebration with family and friends, and it couldn’t have gone better. We rented the entire upstairs area, which was absolutely awesome! The space gave us the perfect balance of a chill, relaxed vibe while still being able to have fun with our own privacy. The food was delicious — everyone kept commenting on how good everything was. The staff were also amazing and consistently attentive to our needs, making sure we were well looked after throughout the event. Highly recommend this place for any celebration or group gathering!

   We had smoke n barrel for our wedding. The food was amazing and the setup was beautiful. The pork crackling, the pork shoulder, the brisket and the salmon were so good. The salad were so yummy too. Big portion for everyone and still have lots left. Everyone was so happy with the food and kept asking where the restaurant is. We were running a bit late and the owner was so patient and friendly. Highly recommend it!! Thank you so much Cory and the smoke n barrel team x

   Having arrived early for our 4.30pm First Table booking on Saturday afternoon, Cory welcomed the two of us in with his charismatic hospitality. He took the time to explain the menu and our preferred craft beer/cider options. (Have included a photo of Russell touching his wenis (Pilsner) ;) Being Russell's birthday dinner, we chose the beef brisket board, cheese 'n' cornmeal hush puppies and a side of pork green chili mac 'n' cheese. Enough food for three but I made sure that no mac 'n' cheese would be left behind. Not wanting to miss out on the pumpkin pie, we had to take two servings home as the meal left me rolling out the door :) Thank you Cory for taking great care of us and for having the passion to provide food that warms the soul. The only thing I missed was having American country music playing in the background. See you all next time - Natasha & Russell (Romantic Gestures NZ)

   Wow what a great location! This is just what Woolston needed - a great option for dinner and drinks and have some laughs with excellent and friendly staff. Nothing is a problem and the staff that serve you love being in hospitality. They are freaking awesome. Get in before it gets too busy!

   Went there for the Sunday roast with the family which included my 18month old daughter. They were really accommodating and the bar and wait staff were really friendly and good with my daughter. They had board games for the kids and high chairs. The roast was really good and a good range of beers. Highly recommend

   First time here with a bunch of discerning friends....wow, what an amazing restaurant. Every single one of us loved it so much. Can't pick our favourite dishes as they were all 10/10. It was great to be able to have a chat with the owner about the history of this great place. His energy and friendliness shows such a passion for his food. We will all be spreading the word and will be back. Congrats team.
