The place has 3 floors with plenty of seating. The rooftop is perfect for some water views and sunshine. The staff are so friendly and they even have some card games to play. The beer is all locally brewed and great! We loved the IPA. The edamame was so unique with miso sauce!!

I've noticed that Eruption is getting better with every visit. βI like that their local beers are brewed and in-house, and they always offer a wide selection on tap. The staff are always friendly, always greeting customers with big smiles and happy to have a chat. βIt's also a good choice for families, as they have good food options for kids and colouring pencils and paper. βThe food quality is steadily improving, and is served quickly. I tried the Jerk Chicken Burger based on a staff recommendation. It looked great, it was mostly faultless, I found the jerk flavour itself was a little subtle and could use more punch or depth. βOverall, the atmosphere is good, it was busy and lively on a Wednesday night, good views, a great local spot. Cheers guys!

It was my first time visiting Lyttelton, and Iβm so glad I stumbled upon this gem! The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always full of smiles. The food was served quickly, tasted absolutely delicious and was affordable too. The place was spotless and well-organized. My cousin and sister were just as impressed, weβre already talking about our next visit. Canβt wait to come back!

The beer is good - only six of the nine were available when I went there. The service is pleasant. There is only one vegan item on the food menu: I enjoyed the Cauliflower Manchurian. There are two cosy areas with armchairs, the one upstairs had a lounging cat.

We sat up on the top floor and loved the service, food and ambience. The cat made it for me! Would happily go there again!

This place is such a gem. Weβre visiting from overseas and planning a trip around coming back! Bartender/possibly brewmaster looped back to our table as he wasnβt happy with the cloudiness of the beer - end of keg. Came back to replace it with a fresh pint. Serious pride in the beer here and it shows in the quality of the product. Our boys loved the tunes. Canβt wait to come back.

What a cool Brewery! We arrived late in the arvo, and all indoor tables were booked or taken (it was quite a cold day). The staff allowed us to sit at a table that was booked for a bit later on by someone else as we were only staying for a quick bite. We really appreciated their flexibility and them accommodating us. The view from the rooftop seating area was awesome and I can imagine how cool the vibe would be in summer up there. Highly recommend.

Amazing spot. A must see brewery if you're in the area. Beer is delicious, loved the pineapple sour. Head to the rooftop for a lovely view over the street and port. Can't wait to come back!

Super little brewery in the heart of Lyttelton. Ample selection of brews on tap and good eats as well. Live music is nice when you can catch it. Cozy seating downstairs and nice seating and atmosphere upstairs. Pop in for a cold one. No regrets.
