   I had stopped at this Fish and chip bar as it was the only one open and I thought I would try a fish and a scoop. The chips were not cooked properly and were hard in the middle and the fish was the thinnest slice I had ever seen before. It was barely eatable, but I was hungry but only made a few mouthfuls. Surely, I thought this shop can't be this bad all the time so I thought I would go and read the reviews online and see what others think. Sure enough my experience was not isolated as the same complaints have been going on for years!! Do the owners not read the reviews? If so, why are they not trying to remedy them or is it they just don't care? At least the Staff were friendly. I wish I had taken a photo before I threw them in the bin.

   Honestly my favourite Chinese takeaway in Chch. Been going here for 20+ years and always find myself going back. Portions are good sizes, and great variety of choices, not to mention super tasty! Might not be everyone cup of tea, but it’s certainly mine:)

   Heve been going here some I was just a kid. They look to have lost their cooking mojo about a year ago looking at other reviews. The chip were soggy, and weird thin commercial chips rather then the generic chunky f&c chips. Pottle fried noodles have changed to a soggy thicker type. Pottle fried rice was good. Lemon chicken and Wontons were "OK", beef black-bean was fairly nice but the meat is now quite chewy (didn't used to be), hot dog was good. Very expensive for how good it wasn't.....

   Soggy chips, not cooked through. Sweet and sour pork also soggy, obviously cooked well before ordering and then doused in watery sweet and sour sauce when ordered. Disgusting pig slop. Absolute waste of money.

   Chips were soggy and tasted of cardboard. They must of had a very sharp knife to get the fish fillets that thin, and not sure how they got the stodgy batter that thick and gloppy!!! Worst $40 worth of fish in chips I think I have ever brought. Threw most away as all people eating them felt quezzy and angry at such a rip off!!.

   Maybe the worst establishment In Christchurch, possibly the world! How they are allowed to sell food is beyond me. Unsanitary and owners to match. Took back a raw chicken dish and some how I got abused in the process. Husband agreed and refunded me, wife jumped the counter demanding I give the money back. If you like a jerry springer vibe then maybe it’s not such a bad place after all.

   I went there for the first time yesterday. I was disappointed with the fish n chips. Chips are saggy and tastes like recycled from two days ago. The fish is the same, recycled from two days ago. I will never buy from them again.

   Worst Chinese we have ever had, we ended up throwing most of it away. Even though we all ordered different dishes, they all ended up the same, semi fried food with a grey/brown slightly asian sauce.

   Shop needs a revamp and you would be forgiven for thinking "Nope" before trying the food but they know how to cook delicious chinese meals! I've travelled the world extensively and this takeaway is second only to a favourite in the UK. But that's a bit far to travel for a few meals! Try it - you'll love the tasty vegetables and beautifully cooked meats in the meals.

   A diamond in the rough. The shop is tired, the menu looks like a 3 yrs old wrote it. The English isn't too flash BUT... The food is very very good. In fact the best Chinese I have had in Christchurch so far, but I haven't been to all of them yet, so best out of about 20. Egg foo that is not 80% cauliflower and assorted fake fillers but actually eggs. I had the chicken which was perfectly cooked and fresh .the combination dried rice was excellent and portion sizes were very good. Worth the trip, but dont be put off by the shops appearance...as sad as it is
