It's shut! Booked on first table and it was closed on Saturday night. Signs in the windows saying something else coming soon. First table were amazing and refunded my booking fee immediately! Within the same minute of me emailing them to let them know.
BEing a local and expecting more, it was disappointing. Stopped in for a quick bar snack before a show at the Town Hall. Not only were we told that they had "run out of wedges", but when we ordered nachos and requested extra corn chips, apparently they had run out of those also (due to the chef being on holiday. Running a business 101, ensure you have cover for staff who you know will be away on annual leave). I mean there is a convenience store 3 doors down. Not impressed at all, however they did attend to a couple of patrons who were being a nuisance, with absolutely no fuss whatsoever. Pick up the game on the food guys, otherwise, it's okay.
Thanks to the Friendly happy staff who kindly organized our takeaway dinner the meal was soo good ! we now have a roast club going for a thursday haha !! Best $15 roast around , was delicious thank you !! See you next week !
Unfortunately we were the only people having lunch there on a Sunday early afternoon. Which explains the rating for the atmosphere. Food was good, but the owner had to shoot out to get eggs for our dish, and we were not told that until we had been waiting for a while. This would usually not be too big of an issue, were it not that we were parked about 5 minutes away, in a 60 minute parking spot. If we would have been told earlier I would have moved the vehicle or put more money in the meter. We got a half priced drink to make up for it, fortunately we did not get a parking ticket.
Didn't know this place was still going in Christchurch me three friends decided to go out for dinner and wow boy was I surprise the atmosphere was amazing. The staff went above and beyond and even halfway through my meal, one of the staff members came and asked me how my meal was, which was amazing. I really really enjoyed myself and LOOK FORWARD TO COMING BACK HERE AGAIN. EXCELLENT food AMAZING customer service. Very very KNOWLEDGEABLE staff WHICH I LIKED BE SURE TO CHECK THEM OUT
Great experience. Great food. Very friendly service. Food was super nice. Had steak eggs and chips and partner had fish and chips. Great value. Highly recommended.
