really enjoyed our lunch at Sugarhorse. my eggs benedict was perfect as were the squid rings. excellent friendly welcoming service. perfect temperature when it was hot outside. kia ora!
Lady serving was lovely. But I ordered an open chicken sandwich and I found it very bland. Little chicken pieces with an unusual coating, and lettuce. That is all there seemed to be. It would have been nice to have some flavour, like tomato or avocado or even cheese. It was really disappointing for $26. It definitely wasn’t worth the price.
The halloumi was cooked on a dirty grill. The rest of the meal was pretty sad. The bread was only toasted on one side and soggy at the bottom. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place for breakfast.
The all day breakfast hit the spot, good quality ingredients. The kids meals went down a treat and presented well. Fast friendly service. Glad we gave the place a go looking forward to going back.
Was mine and my partners 4 year anniversary and surprised me with this place. Excellent customer service. New cocktail this week was amazing. Hash brown was bit flakey however everything else was amazing. Dumplings were amazing especially. Stomachs definitely smiling and lovely scenery too. Smoking area should be put somewhere else tho as had to move because the smell was too strong and I wanted to enjoy our meals. However was great overall I still highly recommend this place. We'll done waitress and chefs. Excellent presentation.
I visited this place twice within a month for 2 different reasons and events - and had a good experience both times. The first visit was for the 10-year anniversary function for my Rotary club. I had the finger food which was ordered for the whole event; and a drink. The second visit was when my Rotary club hosted a quiz night (fundraiser) at this place. I had a vegetarian pizza and a drink. The pizza was somewhat pricier than normal but very well prepared and delicious! The staff is great. The owner doubled up as the quizmaster! There is plenty of parking. The toilets are in excellent condition.
Mushroom soup was awesome. The atmosphere was great. Service was also excellent. One of their staff member saw us coming in and opened our door for us. It was much appreciated. Coffee was great too. Well done.
