We loved our stay at Dyers House! Beautiful bedrooms & garden and stunning views over Christchurch city. A delicious breakfast was provided each morning. I will definitely stay here when visiting Christchurch again.
A lovely B&B in Christchurch overlooking the city centre, run by kind and personable owners dedicated to giving the guest a lovely stay in their hotel.
Overall: lovely owners and great rooms but very overpriced. We ended up staying here by chance as there was an event on and almost all other accomodation in Christchurch was fully booked. Barry and Angela were warm and extremely accommodating by being able to get a room ready for us at such short notice (arrived close to 6pm) - a massive thank you from us for that. Parking was a bit of an issue as it is a single driveway, so if there are other guests you may need to play musical cars to get out. The rooms are spacious with high quality bedding and pillows, and the bathroom is akin to that from a 5-star hotel. And therein lies the problem: at the time if writing, a stay at a 5-star hotel like the Sudima will cost about $230 compared to $395 here, and the Sudima comes with more amenities. Dyers House is in a nice location and run by a lovely couple, but tough to recommend at that price. The review was going to be 3 stars, but I am adding 1 for their cat Eric who was a delight and a star in his own right!
Barry and Angela were very welcoming. The house is stunning and the rooms extremely well furnished and had the best nights sleep. I can not fault any part of my stay. Thankyou
I do not recommend if you have allergies. Ange and Maz are warm and welcoming, but failed to disclose that their property has a cat in their listing. My wife is allergic to cats and got hives after we checked in. It was our honeymoon, so having to rework things caused some complications. Given all of the circumstances, we asked Ange and Max to consider a refund, but they declined. Disappointing overall.
Fabulous in every way - wonderful comfortable rooms - great breakfasts and the sort of service that Hotels should envy. Thank you Baz & Ange - we can't wait to come back - you provide a 6 star experience.
