   Went last week Tuesday. Friendly and very welcoming from the lady at the front. Food was nice, dessert was yummy, especially the ice cream. Great options of Kai for all our Whānau as we have some picky eaters. Our kids really enjoyed it. The cook was friendly and nice, always asking have this, try this. The young boy (staff) was so lovely. Only down side was their weren't many people dining in, it was sad to see so many empty tables. Keep up the amazing mahi!!

   This was the worst buffet we’ve ever had. The first food I get was rice and it was not good anymore , not safe to eat specially I got kids. I complain to the chef that the rice was not good and he said it’s already too long that they display and said I wait for 2 minutes but it’s still the same. Some of the foods are not good to eat too. We just spit it coz we don’t understand the taste. It’s not worth it how much I paid. I paid $440 but end up still hungry and we didn’t expect we got that experience in my sister in laws birthday dinner.

   Terrible, absolutely terrible!! I did read all the negative reviews but thought surely couldn't be that bad & maybe just a lot of negative Nancy's so decided to go last night. I should have believed all the negative comments as it was honestly our worst meal ever. They take you money as soon as you get in the door & the buffet is down the back so you can't see how bad & lack of food there before you pay. Potato & beans were the only veges & no hot meat apart from small pieces of tough over cooked steak. Potato, gravy & a sprinkle of cheese is literally all I put on my plate as that was all that looked edible. The dessert was a shocker too, small slices of dried up cake & cheesecake that tasted pretty rank. Best part of the meal was the vanilla ice cream. Place looked dirty & smelt bad. With all the negative reviews one would think they would clean up their act but obviously they don't care for their paying customers. Worst $100 we have ever spent. Be warned!!

   Underwhelming. Food isnt fresh unfortunately, the refill cups were 8$ each and there was no fizz in any of the drinks, very watered down. Quality is really bad. Its disappointing because in contrast their customer service was great.

   Kia ora, I recently visited Valentine’s in Hamilton and was very disappointed with both the food and service. The selection of food was poor and not worth the $50 cost — the quality was far below expectations. Unfortunately, the overall experience was unpleasant. In contrast, I regularly visit the Christchurch branch, where the service and food are always exceptional. I wanted to share this feedback as the difference between the two locations is significant.    I will give a negative rating if i can. Or zero. I have to give a minimum of one star. Please don't go to this place. Horrible food We spent $190 Left our food on the plates after 15 mins And left the place. They should really improve, or authority must shut them down. Everything said in other negative reviews is true. Horrible quality food - gave us upset stomach and made us feel unwell even though we ate only a little bit. I wish i would have read the reviews beforehand. My wife had a good memory of this place, Years ago, so we went there again. It's really gone down the hill. Please don't waste your money or time here & get food poisoning. People who are posting good reviews Either they are fake or never really have eaten better quality food & experienced better service.

   there was a cockroach on our table and chicken was undercooked. staff were lovely but the food was atrocious and no hygiene practices at all. oysters were also horrible

   Will never go here again. The price you pay is not worth it!!!. You have been warned!!!!!! ,Plates were still dirty aswell as high chairs and cutlery. , Being disapointed is a understatement! Meat was sour. Seafood was disgusting. Never finished our, plates. The kids evan hated it & my 80 year o,,ld grandfather couldnt evan down the food. I DO NOT reccomend going here. Its not like how it use to be run. Only money makers. Im suprised they still open tbh. Hygiene is DIAGUSTING! Filthy !its a NO STARS FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. BUT i couldnt post with outgiving a star! Yuck! Paid for dina 3 adult s 3 kids. Never again. Someone needs to shut this place down.

   Was really excited to go here for dinner, however we were really disappointed with the food. All of the seafood tasted and smelled off, and we were turned away by this and did not finish any of the seafood we put on our plates, the meat was also disappointing. The dessert was a step up and a little bit better however some components were still a let down. Although their chocolate mousse was delicious and probably the best thing we ate. Another plus was also the chocolate fountain.

   While the other reviews are valid, this restaurant is amazing. Of course the food is not Michelin star quality but on they're website they advertise themselves as a family business which they are. The food is of good quality and good taste with enough variety for everyone in the family of all ages. The staff were quick to refill any empty dishes or assist you in finding cutlery. The lady we had was incredibly kind when she greeted us and continuously checked up on us and cleared our table. While I understand the price might not be for everyone the amount of work that the chef has done and the cleanliness of the restaurant far justify the costs. It's a great experience with great staff and great atmosphere. Highly recommend as a place to create or re-experience a nostalgic childhood.
