   I thoroughly enjoy coming here. They usually have a great range of beers. Usually on tap they have a good IPA's, Hazy's, and Stouts. However everytime I visit they never have any brown ales (my favourite). I assume this is due to the drinking palate of most people. The food truck does a great range of pub type food and is reasonably priced. It has a very relaxed atmosphere. There are large tables and plenty of comfy sofas and chairs to relax in. Definitely recommend for that craft brew you might be looking for.

   Georgia is an amazing Bar Manager. She provides amazing service and is a knowledgeable and experienced craft beer connoisseur. I recommend Volstead to anyone in Canterbury interested in tasting the best beer in town!

   The bar service was unacceptable. Not just once but two separate visits. Both times had to wait while customers were behind me were served. When the bartender went to serve a fourth customer who had just arrived i asked for my order in a loud voice and was served. Wefinnished our drinks and went elsewhere. It would seem that the regulars are served first and the occasionals are left till last.

   This is a great pub. Its seating is comfy and the whole arrangement is nice. The beer is alright and the food is definitely a miss.

   Great selection of beer and comfortable brewery atmosphere. Nice relaxed vibe. The server was extremely nice and gave us tons of suggestions of spots to visit locally and up the coast. Highly recommend.

   Shared a favourably tasting hazy IPA in the evening with my partner, they had a substantial selection of their own beers among others, with a wide variety to choose from many of which were on tap. At our request the bar tender was kind enough to let us sample some beers before picking our pints. The pizza we had was also quite good. Loved the rather unique paintings on the walls and decor, giving it a darker feel, this contrasted well with the sheltered seating areas beside open windows/walls letting in the wind and sun. Tucked away down an alley, you feel privacy from the street with gentle exposure to the elements. If the place was not suggested to us I would've missed noticing it, just a short walk from the Hagley park area.

   Many crafted beer choices! Highly recommend having a beer tasting to look for your beer! We love the haze beer with fruity taste. The vibe is very good for hang out and chat. Good beer place in the city!
