Disappointed in the mince savouries. They used to be *SO* good back in the day, rich gravy and mince, but today is was like a weird bolagnase sauce. No coincidence that lasagna was pasta of the day I expect. Very expensive pastry shells in the end :( As a disabled person who cannot cross the busy main road parking remains an issue. EDIT: Dropped a star because of the snarky reply. Recipe changed well before 2024 but keeps getting worse. People are allowed to say your product is not as enjoyable anymore a caution to other patrons who dislike the 'new' flavors.. That's what public review is for. Also you have 2 disability carparks so an important concerns for patrons, like me, to decide if it is worth coming when already disappointed with the new direction. Actually listen to what the low reviews are drawing your attention to rather than being defensive and rude.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Phenomenal – Best Pie I’ve Ever Had! Rangiora Bakery’s Sumatran Pie is hands down the best pie I’ve ever eaten—and I’ve had my fair share of pies! The flaky, golden pastry is absolute perfection, and the filling is something truly special. The slow-cooked beef infused with Sumatran spices creates an explosion of rich, aromatic flavors, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of warmth and depth. Every bite is pure magic. Not only is their pie award-winning (and rightfully so!), but their customer service is outstanding. They went above and beyond to courier pies all the way to Palmerston North, and they arrived in perfect condition, safely guarded by a little gingerbread man! That personal touch says everything about the care they put into their food and their customers. I would move to Rangiora just to be closer to this bakery. If you love pies that set a new standard, do yourself a favor and get here. 1000% recommended!

The slow-cooked beef pie was good but not among the best, not even in the top five of what we’ve had. The pie filling was great, but the pastry was quite soft and soggy. The chocolate finger was just okay, and the bread part was stale. The custard slice lacked custardy flavour and texture, quite gluey/rubbery, not creamy and smooth. The shortbread was dry. The Afghan biscuit was nice.

It’s always clean, the staff are always polite and there is heaps of selection of food to dine in or take home. Coffee is okay, it the hottest and sometimes a a bit bitter however most consistent place in rangiora and a go to for me

Just love coming to my local. The most amazing coffee for a break and always come away with something from the range of seconds. Today 6 large gourmet muffins came home. Were slightly out of shape but does that matter for seconds?? Each one is a meal on there own all for under $7. Hubby's lunch sorted for the week. Also appreciate the chilled water on tap for free, just help yourself. Service is quick inspite of the busy time I called in

Nice spacious place with plenty of choices at a reasonable price. We went there on a weekend morning for brunch. We were lucky enough to get a car park (which can be challenging sometimes). We sat upstairs and had “Have it your way brekkie” followed by coffee/ tea. The service was reasonably quick, the food well presented and sumptuous. The “have it your way” allows you to add whatever you want, which is wonderful flexibility. My “pot of tea for one” had more than two servings. You can sit on table-chairs or comfortable sofas. There is plenty of seating on both floors. Downstairs, there is plenty to choose from, including the “reduced prices” items - which can provide some good bargains.

Lovely place. Visited after almost 10 yrs. nothings changed in terms of decor. Which is interesting. Food is worth the quality and quantity. Better than what you get at coffee club or Columbus. Although 45 mins ride from Chch. We were 9 ppl and had almost all kinds of breakfast and each recommended. Approx 15-22$ each dish depending if u take salmon or noting as sides.
