   Outstanding chicken and bacon pie!! Big chunks of chicken and a creamy sauce. Sure, light pastry. The coffee is excellent too. We have noticed it’s quite cold inside the seating area inside. Maybe a heater is needed?

   This is a nice bakery, truck stop, refreshment establishment. Hearty meals, burgers, pies & hot food cabinet. Ive seen a few bakehouses and this one is definately one of the better ones. They take pride in their shop. Owners are friendly and obliging. Food is fresh & the premises is clean. They cook the meal in front of you - i like this because it shows theres nothing to hide. I ordered the snapper meal and was not dissapointed, in fact, ill be going back there again. Thank you

   A great, affordable stop. And if you are after something light they do a mean toasted sandwhich and cup of tea. You cannot beat a classic toastie for comfort food and for a sweet I highly recommend the fresh cream crepes. Yum!

   Good to get a hot meal when we really hungry. Ordered the “Kiwi breakfast” which was decent. Maybe ask for a couple extra grilled tomatoes to balance out the saltiness of the bacon and eggs? I was pretty grateful to find this spot on a road trip up from Hamilton at 2.30pm, way past my lunchtime!! So thanks for the food, Gordonton.

   Well-priced tasty food, tidy dining area. Toilets were passable but extractor fan was quite loud and toilet needed a bit more TLC in terms of cleanliness. Coffee was a bit strong but OK. Staff member who served me, likely one of the owners, was pleasant but not friendly per se. Overall decor was simplistic and in need of updating. Would visit again. Place feels like it could be more but lacks the enthusiasm and vision to take it up a notch.
