We ordered the Veg korma and chicken kadal for takeaway. Poor quality chicken and vegetable korma should come with a warning - I was not expecting to bite into a chilli. Unfortunately could not finish this dish as a result and ordered same dish from another restaurant instead.
I highly recommend Friends of India. Their food was outstanding and service was very reliable. Communication was prompt and they understood what we wanted and also recommended what foods would be good for our reception party.
No happy as a regular customer. Called last week Saturday asking if it's okay to place a takeaway order for 9:45 pick up since I was at work. Guy on the phone said 'No worries I'll be waiting for you'. I go there at 9:45 and they are shut. Will never be returning or doing any catering from this place. Service has degraded over the years so has the quality of food. You should never tell a customer you'll do something and then not do it.
Succulent And delightful food. We had Nilgiri Chicken and Tikka Masala. Both were divine! A lovely and attentive young man served us and he was both polite and efficient. Food was ready quickly and is very well priced. Meals were delicious, my only disappointment was that their med/hot was very mild for my tastes. But otherwise, absolutely delicious, we look forward to coming back and expanding our taste selection!
Went for dinner with some friends whilst visiting in Hamilton. Food was nice and Naan good. We were not able to buy any drinks or open our BYO as no one had a managers licence. A bit disappointing to be told once seated and ready to order. Should have been told immediately when we arrived. Next customers just walked out.
Regular customer of Friends for 15 years plus, coming once a week usually. Food has always been great and never given me any reason to complain however I rang up today to place my usual order of a curry meal for myself and a butter chicken combo for my kid only to be told they don’t do combos for dinner anymore. Disappointing as my 5 year old isn’t going to eat a full size meal and we like different things so sharing isn’t ideal. Feel like this is just being implemented to extract more money out of the customer. As I said I’m a regular customer and I like the food so don’t really want to look for a new shop but may have to.
Service was fast and on time. Butter chicken and rice portions were good value but lacked richness in flavour and colour in comparison to other restaurants. Chicken portions were good but had lumps of gristle amongst them. Naan bread was good. A Focus on quality control will be a good place to start rectifying the issues found.
Very excellent & delicious food. Good customer service. Must try the Veg. Manchurian and paneer pakora..Highly recommended
Best nan bread ive had in Hamilton, awesome service, took my girlfriend here where she had her first curry and she loved the chicken korma!
