I took 4 fresh fish to be priced for battering he told me $18.0.what a rip off. Went down to the round about they did the the job for$6 plus chips. Very nicely done... I told the Glennveiw fish and chip shop no wonder he had no customers..
The food tasted disgusting . Rubbery. Oily. You get very minimal chips for $10 . Rip offs. Must have changed management because it wasn't that bad when other management was there. This goes against food safety. Using 10 days old oil.
Wonton sauce no flavor taste like tomato sauce warmed up. Same for sweet n sour.chicken flavour non existent, chicken also not crispy. Good serving but going to have to try make sauce taste like sweet n sour. Can't say I would be rushing back there .

I had been waiting for my food close to an hour. Apart from the Fish and chips, everything is shocking. Ordered a lot of food from burgers, sweet and sour pork, fish and chips. Everything has no taste, burgers seems just buns and patty. Have been in so many fish and chips shop but this is the worst so far.
This is a difficult review to write because I really tried to like it. The staff are very friendly and super helpful, the the food left much to be desired. Sweet and sour pork was fried in old oil, with hardly any crisp (despite us eating it immediately in the parking lot after it was cooked), sauce was curiously not sweet, which just made the oil taste even worse. Went back for fish and chips and it was average. The batter wasn’t fluffy or crispy, the fish also tasted not very fresh. Chips were fairly good, I just admit, since they were fried well (but the colour was still tell-tale of old oil). I can’t say this is the worst takeaways I have ever tried, but they need to up their quality or lower the price if they ever want to seriously compete with Sing Dar that is a block away.
Went back for the first time in 6 years since moving out of Hamilton. Same family there, still making super delicious food at good prices. They are awesome people who work hard and they deserve your patronage. You won't be disappointed.
This place has the best fish and chips in the Glenview / Melville Area if your ever in this area give these guys a go. I guarantee you'll love the food here
