   Had a fantastic experience at the Camelot Motor Lodge, where I stated in one of their massive apartments (see video to get an idea). The place was well kept, the bed was comfortable, shower/bath worked well. Equally valuable, the staff was incredibly kind and communicative. They reached out shortly after booking to ask for my arrival info and if I needed any accommodations (to which I only replied weeks later, a few days before my arrival, and which they were happy to help out with). The wonderful staff also helped me find a private place to take a work call after I had checked out, which is immensely appreciated. The Lodge is well placed (a 10-20 NZD Uber from the train station, airport, or downtown), and within walking distance of the heart of Christchurch. I'll definitely be back if ever I'm back in Christchurch!!

   The Camelot has seen better days. Very Shabby, dated and not that clean. No Air Con for summer and small heater for winter- though the gap in the door provided a cooling breeze on a 31 degree day. Squeaky doors from the next unit were annoying. The units furniture and fittings definitely need updating - more than just a lick of paint. Also need to get that Ant/Bug problem sorted - I left a note to let them know. Great location. Rooms misrepresented in photos.

   It was supposed to be a place to rest and break the long drive and it was but the beauty of it is the potential for other things. Centrally located with above basic amenities ( play area for kids, soaking pool and 1 for 1 unit parking) for a motor lodge. The 2BR we had was spacious, well equipped kitchen and living room. 1 queen size bed and 2 single bed on the loft, with 3 single beds on the other room. Bathroom is on the ground floor.

   FILTHY, DIRTY, GRIMY MISREPRESENTED Advertised Photos V Reality! Was horrified on arrival at the state of cleaning. Also felt was misrepresented in the advertised photos V realty of the bathroom. So took the time to read reviews. Noticed they replied to other reviews that the place was under renovation and big plans in place. I didn't mind it was dated and getting renovation. What was DISGUSTING was the filthy Pink looking soap scum build up on shower walls, mold, grime on bathroom cabinert draws and build up around and under cabinet. Tiles not clean, spltters on walls from cooking. Worst of all was all the window cils. Every window cil had mold build up. I thought maybe it was permanent and couldn't be cleaned. So I took kitchen sponge and wiped the pink some scum, and window grime. Both came straight off. No bleach, no chemicals, no scubbing. Just wipes clean!!! Which confirmed my thoughts UNCLEANED. The whole place then made me feel icky

   I had amazing stay here. Staff is very friendly and polite. The lady at the front desk is very kind and helpful. Great rooms, very clean and spacious. Children had good fun in the swimming pool.

   I love coming to the Camelot it's like my second home. Clinton and Johnny are amazing host. Always happy to cater to my needs. The rooms are always clean, well equipped and affordable. The cleaning staff are a credit to the place. The hot pool is my favourite it's awesome. I recommend to everyone

   Place looks cool, staff are friendly and helpful. 24hr laundry (but the motel also use these facilities), good size pool, parking is a bit awkward due to layout and not allocated, but there's enough to around. Laundry is $2 for both dryer and washer. Unfortunately, we weren't impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms but we didn't complain. The staff are lovely but unfortunately I wouldn't stay again.
