Mother stayed there August 2025, to be honest Iām surprised to hear they made her stay in a room that stunk of crap, his wife tried to sort it with bleach but to expect someone to stay and pay full price is just crazy this day in age - would definitely stay well clear of this motel
Good location for taking the train in the morning! Easy to reach by bus from the airport. Great service, including a free shuttle to the railway station in the morning. Andrew the manager was so nice! Walking distance to Tower junction with good restaurant. Cheap rates. Recommended!
The owner is nice and friendly and very helpful too! The room is nice, clean and comfortable! My friend and I stayed here for a night as we took the train to greymouth the next day, the owner gave us a lift to the Christchurch railway station! We are thankful for this service!
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights with our son. Upon arriving, there were no clean towels in the bathroom,the shower had mould or marks along the seals in the shower. We had to use our own personal phones to ring reception as there was no one in reception, the door was locked to ask for towels. The mattress protectors were stained. Ideal location, but the service was very poor. Not worth it.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately my room was right beside the main road which was busy with traffic right through the night. Room was clean and tidy.
Excellent location, and excellent service from both the manager and the fill-in manager. Rooms are a little tired and need a bit of maintenance, but price reflects that. Recommend.
The unit was dated and needed a tidy up but clean enough and well heated. Very handy to all services. Would use again if necessary..
The manager was extremely accommodating by letting us store packs before check in and after on both times staying here. He dropped us off at the train and picked us up. Fantastic location and tidy rooms. Very good value for money
Location is great for the train. Would recommended confirming pickup from train station. Rooms are very tired and need a bit of TLC and the mattress are well used however the room was clean and suited us for easy pickup/drop off for train. The lady at reception is very helpful and kind!
