if you want a proper kiwi Chinese thos is the place for you! full heartedly recommend the sweet and sour pork and being nice to the couple who run the joint. delicious
I absolutely LOVE this place! Prior to having discovered this place, I absolutely could not stand Chinese takeaways. These guys have proved me so wrong in my opinion and changed my mind! The quality and price are so good and not to mention their hot chips are just the cherry on top!!
Very average. Fish and chips are nothing to rave about. Sweet and sour pork was ok, not great, not terrible, had a good crunch but slightly cinnamon-y aftertaste which we didn’t like. Vegetarian fried rice was not what I would call a “fried rice”. Rice was swimming in a sauce with chow mein style veges on top. The only good thing we found was the prices. $16 for a sweet and sour pork and $11 for “fried” rice- large containers. Enough to feed 2 adults. Good for those wanting value for money. Call ahead as waiting time was long despite not being too busy.
Food is always good. Just what you want. Good portions hood price simple home cooked food. Love it
I’ve visited a few times and each time has been excellent, really good Chinese food and you get a really good amount, very tasty and not stingy on ingredients. Nasi goreng is worth a try.
Nice food but can't be waiting nearly an hour again. Could have gone to the grocery store and cooked a stir-fry myself in that time. So won't be going back with such long waiting times. The time I got the Chinese which was 2 dishes I was just really annoyed. Need to obviously have more than 2 people employed for a Saturday evening.
Huge portion - chow mein has heaps of veges and meat too! Pleasantly surprised at how much veges there were, and the aunt and uncle running the store are really friendly
