   Hadleigh Lodge is a beautiful home nestled in 5 acres of wonderful gardens. The room we stayed in was located on the first floor and had a lovely living area with lounge, TV and table and chairs. There was also a cupboard that had a fridge and microwave oven. Jon and Shirley were excellent hosts. They were friendly and welcoming. Each morning Shirley cooked an amazing breakfast from one of three options. These options changed daily. Each day there were freshly baked treats to enjoy with a cuppa. The gardens were stunning and provided a tranquil space to relax and unwind. The property is located on the edge of Hamilton. Far enough away to be rural but close to enough to easily access everything in town. We also found it a great base to explore attractions further afield like Hobbiton and Waitomo caves.

   Fabulous place to stay, a home away from home. So many little extra touches, beautiful room, incredible gardens, immaculate property. Only stayed a couple of nights but hosts Jon and Shirley couldn't have been more welcoming in every way. Was sad to say goodbye!

   Awesome place! Shirley and Jon were so welcoming of the four of us to their beautiful lodge with its stunning gardens. The rooms were lovely, the food excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. Their generosity with their time and home were exceptional. Their story of how they moved their was moving and inspiring. We would love to have stayed longer.

   Stayed overnight with friends. We were in the upstairs Kotare suite with it's own lounge area .Also included was tea and coffee making facilities with home made biscuits and a stocked fridge. Our friends enjoyed the Ruru suite. Beautiful home in period style and sculpted gardens .Not the kind of opulence we are used to. Our hosts Jon , Shirley and Holly the lab made us feel most welcome .Pre dinner drinks , canapes and conversation was a lovely experience. Sensational full breakfast with fresh baked goods by Shirley with personalised menus. A most memorable stay.

   The accommodation is beautiful. We had plenty of space and were able to enjoy the park-like garden. The small bar was filled with drinks, biscuits and fruit every day. After many hotel stays, we had the best breakfast and the most delicious croissants and muffins at the landlady's. Two wonderful people gave us the best stay in New Zealand. Thanks a lot for this.
