   We spent two wonderful nights here over Labour Weekend while we attended a wedding at Woodside Estate just down the road We loved Kowhai Lodge Sheila and John are the best hosts and their beautiful home and garden, friendly hospitality and English Pub made our stay very memorable Can’t recommend them enough ( or the wedding venue either)

   Great stay, a warm friendly welcome by the hosts despite my late last moment booking. Breakfast of my choice poached eggs with a pot of tea followed by homemade preserves on toast.After breakfast an opportunity to wander about their beautiful garden, from a tranquil lily pond to a cute little English pub. Would have loved to stay longer but had to committed to move on. An unexpected stop that that made my journey. Jill Stephenson, Auckland

   We had the pleasure of staying the night before my daughter’s wedding. What fabulous hosts Sheila and John are. The home is brilliant and would recommend to anybody looking for somewhere to stay. We took over the house on the morning of the wedding and it was just like a home away from home, and was a stress free haven in the midst of pre wedding busyness
