A lovely reserve right on the point... clean toilets and rubbish bins provided. Motorhome freedom camping spots available... very pleasant. Sadly the night we parked up in our 9mtr motorhome the rains came down and the tide rose high with the reserve being totally covered in flood water. We ended packing up and leaving in the early hours.

A beautifully secluded part of the coastline at Te Puna, a very safe area, dog and family, freedom camp parks are available for up to 3 nights if you are Self Contained, toilet and wash facilities are available here (and they are open all night, just have a torch handy), swimming is allowed along the shoreline, there is also a boat ramp which does get rather busy during the day, as there are a lot of keen boaties in this area. It is rather close to the homes of some of the residents here so please be mindful that you don't create too much noise during your stay and that you leave the area as you found it. This is a very nice, picturesque, clean and tidy spot, you'll be impressed with how clean the facilities are here. Enjoy.
