If I could give 0 stars I would, arrived at 854 to get one item for my baby, to be advised by security they arnt letting people in as they close in 5 mins only letting people out. Advised I needed one item I knew where it was and id be out by 857pm still refused no sympathy no empathy. My understanding is if you close at 9pm even know online says 10pm- anyone whom enters before 9pm they must be seen to. The morals of this store is below zero, loosing out on decent money purely because they probably dont want to pay over time.

BEWARE The store actually closes at 9PM, despite them claiming online to close at 10PM. I was fooled by this misinformation, and as I had to leave with only half of my required groceries, I had a very disorderly evening, returning home half empty-handed. My plans for the evening did not go as attended, and so my neglected-for-two-minutes garage-run hedge-fund was severely hit. However, I had my quant construct a model, which forecasts a large fall in quarterly earnings for this business and inevitable bankruptcy. Can't wait for this Woolworths to shut down and be replaced by a new Warehouse!

Visited today and commented to my wife about how empty it was after attempting to walk through your produce department I understand why. The 2 staff members who were pick & Packing orders are rude and need to understand you can't actually behave like this when you wear a uniform and are easily identifiable. I'm happy to provide descriptions. The male I first encountered just batted past me cut me off and made me stop, then another female staff member did the same. I then went yo get salad and the same male cut me off again and made me wait. I left the store won't be back and went and found New World. To tourists don't shop here staff are rude, prices are extremely high. I am assuming this is a issue for your store as it was quiet compared to New World and the Pak n Save carport was full.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received today just befor closing time. The female staff member at the kiosk was extremely rude. This behavior was unprofessional and left me feeling disrespected as a customer. I hope appropriate action will be taken to ensure that other customers do not have a similar experience.

The store doesn't have a clear spot where you can find trolleys. There's a lot of trolleys out front. Some are chained up, and some are really dirty and one even looked soiled with something foul smelling. The store interior was much better and this was one of the few Countdown stores I've encountered that had plenty of staff on checkouts.

Its a countdown. Good food, clean and large spaces. Good to general shopping and allows for easy click and collect with dedicated parking

edit 1 please ignore the good review i had given countdown previously. I was then writing writing to praise 3 staff members. they still deserve the praise, they were great However, today I asked for help. Simple help that would have taken 2 minutes or less. I noted a home help advert on an ad on the noticeboard, and made a note of the phone number on my hand. Unfortunately by the time I arrived home, it was smudged. I live at the lake and it is quite a way into town, so I called Countdown Fenton street asking for help, if someone would look at the noticeboard and tell me the number. When I saw the ad earlier in the day there were very few notices on the board and it would have been easy to identify one that said housekeeper wanting work. The first person who answered the phone heard what I was asking simply hung up on me. The second person said she would put me through to customer service. customer service allowed the phone to ring for a VERY long time, and then hung up. I called a third time and someone in another department said she would transfer me to the customer help department. I asked her not to as they were not just unhelpful but downright rude. She said she has to put me through there, it is the only option, a hang up again at customer help/support department. I called back, the same lady told me that she can only try again.. I said to this lady (who was not at fault) that seems to be useless, either they hang up before even answering, or immediately after. But I tell you what, please let them know that I would contact both the owner of the store and the manager and report the hang ups. The phone was answered. A person who told me his name is Jimmy, looked on the notice board, and was back to me with the number I needed in under 1 minute. I think the owner and the manager may wish to speak to the female staff on duty at the Customer Support people on Friday 14th April around 6 ish -and have little chat to them about hanging up on customers. Frankly, although I loved Countdown Fenton street, I will give it a wide berth when I shop the next 3-4 months at least. The previous well deserved 5 star treatment is reduced to 2 for the appalling behavior of the hang ups. original post i am writing to praise 3 of your staff. Last night, we had dinner out and went to Countdown to do a big shop. I arrived not much before closing time (which I had not realised) but before I could shop a serious tummy pain hit me and I needed to visit the loo. In spite of the store just about to close, one of the staff called the person in charge who took the trouble to walk me around to the toilets, wait a discrete distance away and walked me back. By which time the store had emptied. This had eaten into their going home time, yet all 3 ladies who were involved getting me to the loo in time, were super friendly, understood and helped. now this has nothing to do with the food, but this shows the excellent, caring staff that this Countdown has. I LOVE shopping at this Countdown. Thank you ladies - including the one who loaned me her pen. Grateful thanks !

We came here during the trip to Rotorua. Nice place to do grocery shopping. Some nice displays at the produce section and they offer free fruit for children. The seafood section had some nice displays. There is also a discounted foods section. Overall fair variety of things, including in international section. We also surprised to see pharmacy. Its like in other countries like US. Disappointingly small space and variety. Didnt have what we wanted but the nice kind lad showed alternatives and showed where else we can go even though it was past closing time. Some staff looked overworked. The other pharmacy we went to had far better variety and was more spacious. There is even a self checkout for you to get out in express time. Overall good atmosphere. Cleaner than the Paknsave next door.
