Lovely hotel in the centre of Christchurch. Places of interest within walking distance. Tram gives a good tour of Central city. Bus ride up to the Gondola, great views.
This is a great place to stay in central Christchurch. Rooms are nice and the food is excellent at the restaurant on level 1. My company on our staff feedback has locked in Crowne Plaza as our preferred hotel now, which I'm very happy about and look forward to my next trip to Christchurch to stay here.
Stayed here for two nights on business. The location is a short walk tot he centre of town which is very handy. The service from the staff was excellent, polite and attentive. The rooms are clean and well appointed. I had a very comfortable stay. I tried their Piza and beer offering which was ok. For $25 you get a 12" pizza and a Captains beer. I found the pizza to be lacking in the quantity of the toppings. A lot of base and green leaf... A small detail really. A very good and comfortable stay in an IHG hotel. Recommended.
The Crowne Plaza is located in the heart of Christchurch, just a few minutes walking distance from the main tourist attractions. I booked in advance a parking lot and the in-and-out drivings were working without any problem. Thanks for the room upgrade to junior suite! I don't want to make a long list, about the comfy bed, the bathroom amenities, the perfect condition of all the equipments, the security, etc, however I'd like to mention the kindness, politness and very professional attitude of a few of your colleagues. At our arrival we checked-in with Nikka. With her very kind and warm welcoming she made us feel that we arrived home! Next morning at the restaurant Kathy was looking after our breakfast and well-being. She was always available on a very efficient way for all the tables around us too! She made the start of our day for an exceptioanally good one! Also, I have to mention the name of our housekeeping lady, Deseree. However during our stay we didn't meet her, but our room was always in perfect condition and spotlessly clean! Thanks for her job as well! Also, I'd like to say a big thanks to all of your colleagues who make our stay an exceptionally pleasant one!
Wonderful, stay at Crowne Plaza In Christchurch. Terrific Location! Central to everything. Staff were all so pleasant and so helpful. Would certainly stay here again. Rooms were lovely, modern and well equipped.
It would be totally a great 5 stars hotel but looking closely in the shower, you can see a lot of fungal stained which can be easily cleaned. Otherwise the hotel’s staffs especially Ms Anica, were exceptional.
Perfect location, right across Victoria Square and not too far from the central city, cafes, restaurants and Avon river. We book a room for my family and we always enjoy the stay in Crowne Plaza premises. The room is spacious enough, the beds and pillows are comfy (I'm a big fan of fluffy pillows and firm beds), amenities are great (antipodes product). Parking spots are available and we can pay at the hotel for a reasonable fee a day. The hotel is also disability friendly. Happy to be back here again
Was there for 2 nights on a business trip. Central location close to a lot of eateries. Nice views. Checked in on a rainy day with gloomy weather but was treated with some nice views of the park, sunset and the mountains the following day. Quite impressed with the modern clean rooms.
Incredible property, very central, and quiet. The decor is superb throughout, from reception to room, and all spaces in-between. What impressed me most was the staff, and their authentic can do attitude. Warm and welcoming. Nothing was a problem. In addition security after hours is excellent.
Lovely hotel right in the thick of it! Room was clean, staff was pleasant and helpful, views were amazing! I stayed for a while and was able to try a few things on the room service and it was always quick and easy! Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Looking forward to staying again!
