9/10 times you call, the receptionists are really rude. Doctors are hardly ever available, most likely because I get emailed every 3 weeks that they’re going on vacation again. They overcharge more than any other clinic in the city for basics like prescriptions and medication and if you dare not pay it immediately they shame you publicly everytime you come in until it’s paid. Doctors are also not people persons in the slightest. I’ve been going my entire life and I have no relationship with my gp. She knows nothing about me and doesn’t care to. Their medical advice is useless for how much they charge you. $60 and I get told to lose weight and MAYBE I’ll feel better… meanwhile I actually have gallbladder problems. One doctor during a checkup said “you’re slightly over BMI, so if you could just lose weight that would be great”…. Keep in mind I was going in to have my antidepressants renewed. Not exactly encouraging, kind words for a depressed patient. TLDR: unhelpful, rude, overpriced, I’ll be moving clinics very soon.

Best medical centre in Hamilton. Been with this practise for the last 23 years. Doctors and nurses are really good at their job. Totally recommend this place.

Today, I had a scheduled appointment with Dr. Hiruni at 11:45. I arrived at the medical center at 11:40 and checked in with the receptionist. After providing my name, I was asked to take a seat. I waited until 12:00, but the doctor did not call me in for the appointment. Given that their appointments are typically 15 minutes long, I began to wonder about the reason for the delay. At around 12:00, another patient arrived, and to my surprise, the doctor called them in ahead of me. Feeling concerned, I approached the receptionist at around 12:05 to inquire about the situation. There were two receptionists present, but the one I initially spoke to was occupied with another person. The other receptionist offered to assist me and investigate the matter. However, she repeatedly asked if I had initially checked in at the front desk. Eventually, she requested that I return to my seat while she communicated with the doctor and promised to provide me with an update. At this point, my impatience grew as I realized I was already running late for work. She ran around for a little and the next thing I see, she walks out of the building. It was about 12:20 at this point so I went back to the reception. I walked up to the new receptionist that had replaced the previous two receptionists, who had left the building by then(for their lunch break I assume) and asked her how long the doctor would be. This is when the new receptionist told me that there was an alleged “error with the system” and the doctor didn’t even know I had come in. From the way the second receptionist kept asking me if I came to the front desk when I first came in made me wonder if there was “an error with the system” at all or if they just forgot to let the doctor know. The new receptionist said she doesn’t know how long the doctor would be and I told her I’ve been waiting for 40 minutes now and I’m very late for work and she goes “oh I apologise but you can wait longer or reschedule?!?” Considering that I had already waited for a week to secure this appointment, the prospect of waiting another week for a new one was highly undesirable, especially when I had already spent nearly 45 minutes at the medical center, causing significant lateness for work. I asked the receptionist if the doctor is able to see me after the current patient and she said she’s not sure if the doctor would or not. The doctor came out in another 5 minutes and she tells me “you missed your appointment already and you’d have to reschedule now” At that point my mum had to interfere and tell her we’ve been waiting for 45 minutes now and we didn’t miss our appointment. However she ended up taking us in and treating me. I work in customer service as well so I’m well aware that mistakes happen. The receptionists could’ve apologised properly rather than walking out of the building and literally running away from their mistake. It was ridiculous how they completely ignored the fact that I had been waiting for an extensive period, wasting my time, and simply told me to reschedule the appointment as if it was my fault. The receptionists were highly impolite from the beginning. They should learn how to treat their patients better. Totally unacceptable. Their handling of this situation was extremely lacking in professionalism, and as a result, I have decided not to return to this medical center.

Don't bother turning up if you don't have a mask. They don't have any spare and I wasn't aware I had to bring one. The receptionist turned me away without even asking my name so it probably looked like I didn't show up from the doctors pov which wasn't the case, waste of an appointment.

Sadly the BEST GP quit the firm, what a shame, short notice and simply disappeared in a day... Is this an indicator of underlying political unrest within the "firm" you have to guess so. Dr. Ed Barrio will be sincerely missed, excruciatingly now being foisted onto his alleged indoctrinated (excuse the pun) replacement... Whomever that may be, never advised! Tragic turn of events. But with all the corruption regarding genuine medical analysis and reporting Nationwide of the horrendous State Poisoning of the populace, post-injection anomolies who would ever blame him. Previously I wrote in all honesty... But times have radically changed in favour of a Governmental control of Health Services... I wish you nothing less than a peaceful life away from the Politics Ed. Who picks up my pieces, is yet to come forward... ? Outstanding Medical Practice... Helpful, thoughtful and knowledgeable doctors, nurses and the all important front line reception staff. If you're looking for a prompt and friendly service from Expert Doctors in Hamilton, Waikato this Medical Centre would be my number 1 go-to!

Pretty good service! However, they really need to take better care of their goldfish. The poor creatures are gasping at the surface of the water because there isn't enough oxygen in the tank. It's very depressing sitting in the waiting room just to see them suffer.

been going to this medical center for years. i stay with them because my doctor here is so kind and caring towards me and listens very carefully to my needs. Tho i will say they are Extremely expensive it costs me $50 to see my doctor at 27 years old. and i do wish they could lower the price especially when it can get hard to fork up $50 on the spot when you desperately in need to see a doctor. If they were to make it cheaper i would visit my doctor more regularly. if it was say around $40 i would give this review 5 stars. The only reason i stay with them is because i really like my doctor and im too afraid i wont find a better doctor than my current doctor.
