   I've used The Moving Company several times for international shipping. Living between opposite sides of the world means I need a reliable NZ-based company that I can trust with valuable, fragile instruments. In the office I've Summer Croucher to liaise with and this time she really pulled out all the stops to reunite me with my consignment by Christmas. I hope TMC appreciate her hard work and great customer liason skills. The delivery team this time were Andrew, Zack, and Bryce. Despite the heat they ripped into the job and carefully positioned everything as requested. They were a friendly lot and seemed to work cooperatively, and efficiently with their roles. The job was done in no time. Thank you TMC. Have a great Christmas.

   Absolutely Outstanding Service! The Moving Company made my relocation to the UK completely stress-free. From start to finish, their team was exceptional. On packing day, Andrew and Zac were incredible – fast, professional, and extremely careful with all my belongings. They were also polite and friendly, which made the whole process so much easier. On collection day, the team impressed me again. Andrew, Sabbath, and Lea arrived earlier than expected and worked perfectly together. Everything was handled with the same care and efficiency as before. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. A huge thank you to the entire team – you truly went above and beyond. I hope I’m lucky enough to have a crew as good as you on the other side. Highly recommended!

   We had Lorraine, Keran, and Josie come to pack our possessions. They were friendly, careful and worked hard. We enjoyed having them in our home. On moving day, we received well timed texts to let us know that Joe, Corey and Levi were on the way. It was a long hard day. Those guys worked hard and were patient with the constant queries from my lawyer asking when we’d be vacating the house! I give this team 5 STARS and a big Thankyou.

   A very disappointing experience with the Moving Company. Relocating from the North to South Island, initial communication was excellent and very helpful. Dates were agreed on the service agreement and via email. However once the money was paid, communication dried up. After taking unpaid leave and flying down south to be there for the move in date, they didn't turn up. When I called they said nobody had bothered to enter the move in dates in the system and they weren't coming for another week. The local moving team kept telling me someone from Auckland would call me to apologize and sort something out but they never did. The local moving team were finally able to scrape together a crew to move my stuff the next day. And I will say that the guys doing the moving were great. In a stressful time, moving to a new city and having to find accommodation last minute, this all made for a terrible experience.

   Update: After a call from the manager to explain the overcharge, this was fixed up. The issue was in timing of when the crew left their yard. Original: PLEASE keep track of the hours while they move your belongings and check your invoice. I was charged 5 hours for a maximum of 2 hours time to load and unload. They do charge travel, but 3 hours of it I found hard to believe. Once I questioned this, they were quick to reduce the hours charged. The guys doing the lifting were fast but only 1 of 3 guys actually showed some care to my belongings and house walls!

   I have mixed feelings about the Moving Company after moving between Dunedin to Christchurch. Initially communication was prompt and clear but as soon as the money was placed in their account they were impossible to get hold of, vague on times and when I eventually did get hold of them they were unhelpful or promised to ring me back and then did not. The only saving grace were the awesome people that actually moved the items, particularly the team in Dunedin who were on-time, friendly and efficient.
