    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Absolutely would not ever use them again. I would have an easier time pulling my teeth out manually with a hand mirror and pliers than dealing with this company. No accountability, no responsibility. My uplift occurred on 3/10/25. I am now writing this 11/12/25 still have not had my items delivered, with them constantly blaming customs and clearances- I paid extra for Conroy to pack my home, they labelled everything- so why are they asking me which box the declared items are in for customs/biosecurity???? You’re supposed to give your customs papers beforehand as a customer with them, they knew what I was declaring- a simple phone call or even internal coordination could have stopped delays. Also I was not given an approximate delivery time frame until about 2 weeks AFTER my items were already picked up from my apartment… what were they doing with my things and why did they not inform me because I’m sure the insurance doesn’t cover items in “storage” to this degree- I paid for transit. Please, I’ve been so stressed out, I’ve sent so many emails.. just don’t use them! Take it as a warning. I’ve missed deadlines with my own deliverables because of the significant delays. They can’t even apologise. It’s just gotten so out of hand that I don’t trust this company to have the integrity to have my items be delivered undamaged anymore. Salespeople will disappear on you after sales and just sit as ghosts on chain emails. I’ve never been so exhausted in dealing with a service provider.

    I would not recommend Conroy’s Christchurch at all. We got multiple quotes for our move from Christchurch to Sydney as the most important thing to us was going with the company that would get it there the quickest, we even didn’t mind paying more for that. We chose Conroy’s as the were going to be the quickest with our goods arriving door to door within 6-10 weeks but I was told that it would be closer towards the 6 week mark as opposed to the 10 week mark. The thing that really sold me was I was assured once the items were packed and collected, they would not be sitting around in NZ, they had a great international coordinator organising shipments to leave and because we had given them over 2 months notice, there would be no delay. This was far from what happened. Our goods left our home on the 24th September. I was told I would get automatic updates every 15 days, I never received one. After calling and calling asking for updates I was constantly told everything was on track. 3 weeks had passed and our goods were still sitting in NZ. After pushing for an update, I was told what was meant to be good news that they were booked to leave NZ on the 8th November! 6.5 weeks after collection. After I pushed back and said this was not what I was told they somehow found a way to get it on a boat on the 23rd October arriving in Sydney on the 28th October. Then next part of dishonesty happened. They said it would only take 1-2 weeks from when it arrived in Sydney to be delivered to our door and that they marked it as ‘urgent’. I followed that up with the Sydney branch and none of that is correct. It take 3-5 weeks minimum to clear customs and then up to 1-2 weeks after that to be delivered to your door and there was no such thing as marking something as urgent, they all go part of the same queue. This now meant the original quoted timeline of 6-10 weeks for door to door was completely incorrect. I trusted Conroy’s with the timeframe they told me which is essentially how they got my business, over $13,000 worth and it has been dishonest the whole time. When I have tried to get answers from the Christchurch branch, the way I have been treated is disgusting. I was told “somethings in life don’t go to plan” “Surely I have had things in my life not go to plan”. Absolutely, yes, but not when I am paying a company a huge amount of money to deliver a service when they knew the way to get my business was to be the company that offered the quickest delivery. Absolutely disgusting service, promised something that was never achievable which feels dishonest and shady just to secure business. Lastly, they pride themselves on their website about publishing all reviews, good or bad… I have never been provided the opportunity to provide a review so I would be wary how accurate those website reviews are, they seem to be choosing who to ask for reviews from.

    We had an excellent move North to South Island with Conroy's. Very happy with the helpful movers, the communications prior and general organisation from the whole team. Would recommend Conroy's. No breakages and no dramas.

    I absolutely DO NOT recommend Conroy for your move. I recently moved from Christchurch to Melbourne. All the items which I packed in my own boxes have arrived absolutely perfect. Unfortunately the items packed by Conroy with bubble wraps and with extra care marked as FRAGILE have been broken, my leather couches have cut on it. Adding to this couches arrived fine till Melbourne but the delivery person who was unwrapping them using sharp cutter made cuts in my couches. Pictures attached. My mirror was absolutely new still has price tag at the back of the mirror costed me $699 is broken.very non responsive, they absolutely do not want to take responsibility. No one responds to your emails , worst ever customer service. Nick Thompson and Debbie Beech kindly get this sorted ASAP. This is a sheer negligence from Conroy and you guys are responsible for this.

    These folk are a great price and always go over and above the call of duty when delivering. Thanks so much again for being excellent and friendly on delivery. Excellent for moving large single items around the country. Takes about a month to get from Auckland to here, but an excellent price and you can’t beat the service of the guy who delivers to Dunedin.

    Beware !!!. Do not use this firm. I had my my life's belongings moved from Auckland to Dunedin. Was picked up and packed well in Auckland but somewhere along the way it was swapped to another truck and was delivered absolutely trashed and not all at the same time, some being taken somewhere else and lost.Furniture broken, the wheels taken off my bicycle and then given someone elses, forks twisted, all boxes obviously been thrown or dropped with tape ripped or holes from impact,some items missing and gone for good. I didn't take insurance as didn't cover self packed boxes or furniture older than 10 yrs old which was most of my stuff. I thought l would trust them to do a professional job with the money l paid.When contacted about missing and broken things l was told to send quotes for repairs and photographic evidence. I can't afford to have anything repaired and don't have photos of missing items and judging by other one star reviews it would be a waste of time.I am absolutely furious and disgusted and heartbroken.

    We’ve just completed our shift from North to South Island with the help from Conroy removals and have been impressed on each stage of the way. They were responsive, adaptive and extremely flexible to our needs. I feel that they’ve gone above and beyond in some areas too, which adds the the X factor. Priced very competitively. Would not hesitate to use again!
