Family House leans into a simple, bistroβstyle approach without the fuss. Thereβs always a considered veg choice. Plates offer plenty without weighing things down. Service stays present without fuss. A sensible spend for the spread.
Came in with a girlfriend as she had been here previously and recommended it. Personally I found it enjoyable the food from the buffet menu and well worth the money. The atmosphere was reasonably good. Parking outside is more practical outside the restaurant in the later evening.
Its funny that now days people are getting into Korean Cooking, my family got introduced to this real good food way back in 1999 in Rotorua. Been eating it since, spent a month in South Korea 2000 to be taught the cooking preparation. And maori's are eating it too which their were far few that ate at restaurants? Now its good to see.
Whenever I don't know what to eat, I come to Korean Family House for their Spicy Beef Soup! It is the best in town! It comes with some small dishes too.
If youβre looking for authentic Korean food, this place is a must visit. There are plenty of meat options, and the galbi was especially juicy and full of flavor. The fried chicken tasted just like the ones in Korea Iβve had a lot back home, so I can say that confidently. I also tried the tteokbokki, and honestly, itβs hard to enjoy it anywhere else now. Even the ice cream (cookie dough and milk chocolate) was impressive better than many dessert shops. And the side dishes were perfectly done. Paired with rice, I nearly finished the whole bowl. Overall, it was a great experience and Iβd definitely come back. Highly recommend!
Lovely, friendly staff. Delicious food with large portions. I highly recommend the chicken ginseng soup, so hearty and tasty.
Gread choices of bbq meat and vegetables and good service. Will go back again Needs a new lick of paint and maybe a make-over one day.
I love that they have vegetarian options for the hot plate dishes. Their tofu with spicy Korean sauce (special request) was delicious. I've had bibimbap from here too and the portions are good.
A Korean restaurant with reasonable price and typically Korean dishes. All the side dishes are good and free refill. It has buffet option for dinner. Will definitely try it one day.
