   You know it is Lone Star. When you want to have some food for dinner but you don't know where to go. It is always good option to go. Nice atmosphere friendly staff, tasty food with good price. I especially like mexican food from this place. It was my birthday and I loved it. Luck Rolleston has Lone Star. One thing my kids were sad because kids meal doesn't come with dessert ice cream. But it was still good enough for me

   Was in there tonight to celebrate a birthday. It was steady which I can understand being a Saturday. I ordered within 5 minutes of being seated. It took me asking after 30 min of we could have our drinks. I watched the girls turn around and look at me thinking it was funny, I noticed watched people seated after us have there food bought out before us. After 50 min I got up and asked what's going on. They clearly had forgotten about our order. Although I was apologized to I will not be back. The other loan star restaurants have there service down pat no matter how busy you are looked after! and if you are celebrating a birthday and make it known they bring a small desert or what ever. Sorry rolly but it was very disappointing to say the least.

   First time to go to Lone Star Rolleston. We ordered steak, pork and ribs. The food so tasty and quite big portions. Have a lot of guests on that day. We will come back again to try the others menu. For me I have recommended.

   Always a pleasure to dine at Lone Star, the Redneck ribs is always a favourite. My son loves to order it all the time. Staff are hospitable, smiling, lovely customer service. In between 3 weeks of dining, the menu has changed and the slaw is additional $5 to your meal. Regardless of, I still enjoy my meal without the slaw, as the first round of dining it has no flavour at all.

   Lovely staff, super warm and inviting. We spent the night loving the music and the food. The only issue was we all had sticker shock at the end. Would have been nice if the menu reflected (or the staff said) that some options are dearer, ie Dixie chicken was only explained as classic or not. I loved it, but if I am honest, the pricing is a letdown. 2 chicken breasts with coleslaw and roast potatoes should not cost over $45. Would go back but know better next time.

   Lone Star is a well established chain offering a fusion of local and Tex Mex food. The service we received was good and our food and drinks arrived promptly. Serving sizes are generous. There was a small mix up when I received the entrees size prawn rather than the mains. When we went to pay the manager was most apologetic and made good by discounting our desert. We had a great meal and enjoyable evening. I would highly recommend.
