Clean, welcoming rooms. Comfortable with everything we needed & more. Beautiful bathroom, with amazing shower & the softest towels. Definitely recommend this place, and will stay there again
Stayed at Golden Hotel for 2 nights. This hotel exceeded my expectations. Very clean and tidy, amenities were great. Very close to food places and Westfield mall. Will be coming back here whenever we come back to Christchurch.
Golden was like a home away from home, it was a great place to stay for the start and end of our trip of the south Island. Beds were comfortable, well maintained and cleaned, well sound proofed rooms and very large TV. The receptionist who I assume was the owner was very friendly and kind. The free room upgrade was a plesent surprise giving the 2 of us plenty of space. Highly recommend.
This is a surprisingly good place to stay. It's close to the city and shopping. Right in the middle of the Asian quarter there is a great selection of Asian restaurants & food stores nearby. There is off street parking which is important as Riccarton Rd can be busy. The staff at the hotel were super friendly. Our room on Level 3 was well appointed. A very comfortable bed with crisp cotton sheets. The shower was large and powerful. Reasonably priced. We will stay here again.
Crisp, clean and great amenities. Not right in the CBD but not far off and there are options to dine close by. Lucy gave us a warm welcome. There is also a nice cafe in the lobby. Carpark can get a little busy but they’ll use cones to try and reserve them for guests. They even provide a charging cable and some chocolates on arrival. Big effort here with all of their towels and robes branded too.
Top notch accommodation. Stayed here twice and will probably stay here again. Super clean. Excellent in-room amenities. Amazing rain shower. New room slippers were provided which were a nice touch. The hotel's boss, manager and staff are very nice, hospitable and very focused on making guests comfortable.
This almost brand new hotel ticks all the boxes. Located in a great spot with lots of restaurants and plenty of car-parking spaces. Great service from the front desk to cleaning staff. They pay great attention to details. Top notch facilities and very comfortable! Will definitely stay here again when visiting Christchurch!
Stayed for 2 nites, the best hotel facilities in our 6 week road trip on NZ The rain shower was great, the towels were thick, the toilet amenities were a 5 stars facilities. Bed size is nice with firm feeling. We would say this is the only hotel to stay if in Christchurch
Stayed here one night and it was such a pleasant surprise, especially for the price. The check-in and the check-out process was hassle-free and the room was immaculate with cookware and utensils to make a decent meal. The parking is free but limited and it fills up fast. There is additional parking available on Riccarton Rd in front of the hotel but keep in mind that Riccarton Rd is a very busy street during commute times. There is a school nearby and a bus stop right in front of the hotel so expect a crowd after school hours. My only problem with this hotel was that I was provided with what appeared to be used slippers. Thankfully, I didn't need them and it was a good gesture for the hotel to provide them.
