   Tried this burger spot recently and had a great experience. Prices are reasonable, with most burgers under $18. I also liked that it has an open kitchen, so you can see the food being prepared. The cheesesteak burger was rich and cheesy with plenty of sauce. The crispy chicken burger had a nice crunch with a bit of spice and was well balanced. The rice burger was something different — pan-fried rice with tender beef, which I hadn’t really seen elsewhere. We also ordered the karaage fried chicken, which was full of flavour, and the Philly on chips, which was easy to share. Overall, a solid spot for casual burgers.

   Have tried a handful of their burgers. I love them all, but theres something about their cheese burger. Perfectly done smashed beef pattie, just the right amount of cheese, pickles, onions, mustard, ketchup and mayo. Perfectly balanced. Already had it teice this week and take away. Hambagu is now on my permanent eat out list.

   I recently heard about this place and decided to try the Double Kiwi Classic—and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. The burger was perfectly cooked: juicy, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. Everything was well-balanced, from the freshness of the toppings to the softness of the bun.    Paid $59 for 2 adult burgers one kids cheeseburger and one kids chicken/chips. We recently tried Hambagu Burgers and were blown away by the Double Stacker and Beef Brisket Burger – absolutely delicious! The patties were full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. The brisket was tender, and the sauces tied everything together beautifully. These burgers are definitely among the best we've had in Auckland. However, we were quite disappointed with the kids' chicken and chips. Unfortunately, the chicken was undercooked, no taste, not crispy at all and lacked seasoning, and the chips weren’t very appealing either. It really stood out in contrast to the amazing burgers. We'll definitely be back for more burgers – but would love to see some attention given to the kids' meals so the whole family can enjoy the experience. Thanks for the great burgers and warm service!

   We recently visited Hambagu in Epsom. My husband was impressed by the friendly service and reasonable prices. I tried their loaded fries, which were delicious and came in a generous portion. I also sampled the smashed burger my husband ordered—it was packed with flavor and really tasty. Parking was convenient, with spots available right outside on the main road or on nearby side streets. Overall, Hambagu is definitely worth checking out if you’re in Epsom!

   One of the overall best hamburgers in NZ my partner & I have tried. We had the Tropical Bliss & The Chicken Katsu burgers. We both liked how one flavour didn't overpower the entire meal for either burger. Whilst there was sauce, it wasn't too heavy in either burger & we didn't ask them to make it any differently from normally. As we are locals, we will definitely be coming back! Thanks for the excellent meal!

   Great food and friendly staff! I came here after driving past many times and then seeing lots of good reviews. The reviews were right, this is a fab little burger place. I had the philly cheesesteak burger and nori fries. I wouldn't usually pick that burger flavour but it was mentioned so many times in the reviews and it was great. The fries were flavourful, would definitely recommend. Can't wait to come back and try the other burger flavours.

   Excellent service, didn’t expect the staff of a takeaway burger place to ask us whether we’ve been here before and went through the menu with us. We ordered a Philly cheesesteak burger (as recommended by the staff) and the teriyaki beef burger. We really enjoyed the burger buns and the Philly cheesesteak burger, I thought there were too much teriyaki source for the other one, to an extent we couldn’t taste the patty. Will go again and try other burgers along with the Philly cheesesteak.

   Nice little place for u to try a mix of NZ and Japanese taste. We tried some nice beef brisk and philly burgers which would be awesome with a small touch of pickle (totally subjective though). Service was very friendly and aware of customers needs; 5/5 for that.

   Recently noticed this local eatry while looking for food places around the neighbourhood on Google maps. Yesterday ordered a double stacker and a philly cheese steak burger with kids menu items. Ordered over the phone. Turned up at the restaurant and food was almost ready. Burgers were great in taste and good serving size. Will definitely return to try other burgers and some of their Japanese food items. Can safely recommend the place to anyone looking for gourmet burgers.
