Best new American BBQ joint in town. Bit of a hidden gem as not obvious from the street front. Fantastic fit-out and casual vibes. Also dog friendly! Run by amazing staff and the service was outstanding. Went for the $1 wings and was not disappointed, will be back to try the rest of the menu!
Wow! The food here is delicious, the complimentary corn bread was that good I had to save a piece to take home. My partner had the ribs and said it's the best he has ever had in Christchurch, fell straight off the bone. Highly recommend!
We got the 2 meats, 2 sides, 2 sauces deal so got to try a handful of different items. The pulled pork was melt in your mouth delicious and full of flavor. The venison ribs just melted off the bone which is exactly how it should be and we're beautifully cooked and flavorsome. The smoked meat chilli was also a treat! Mac n cheese was bursting with cheesy goodness and no onions in sight which gets bonus points as onions are yuck! Fries were crispy and really tasty too. Service was quick and friendly and was a nice cosy atmosphere. Overall a really nice place and a must go for meat eaters and enthusiasts. Highly reccomend.
Absolutely mouth watering!!! ... The food was outstanding ... The service was great ... The price of food was really good ... We had a fantastic night for my partner's birthday ... We even had a chat with the chief at our table ... Which made the experience even better ... If you want a fabulous food experience I highly recommend Bison BBQ ... Thank you
The food and service was perfect, the view from the restaurant was great and I have learnt that I need them to sell the corn bread by the loaf because that is the best corn bread I’ve ever tried. All of the meats were tender and had great flavour and the mocktail actually tasted like a real apple pie. Share the chilli between your table as well, it is fantastic!
Delicious food and great service. We visited Bison BBQ as a group of 6 and absolutely loved it. The team are amazing and the food is great. Try the brisket!! The owner is so lovely and we really appreciated that he came over to introduce himself and to have a chat. Highly recommend and will be back!
The best American BBQ I’ve ever had in New Zealand!! This place insanely good. John has such a passion for food and people and you can tell! The meat is amazing, the Mac and Cheese is to die for, they also have REAL lemonade!! The service goes above and beyond, you feel like your are hanging with friends at a BBQ and have awesome chats with staff! I highly recommend Bison BBQ. Won’t be going back to Smokey T’s, this blows it out of the water and is my new go to!!
Mouthwatering food, I had the 2 meat option with the sausage and brisket with a side of fires and Mac cheese. A group of 15 attended for a friends birthday, well all had a great time, this place will be great spot in summer with their big outdoor space !
