A very nice and cozy hostel located at walking distance from the city centre. It's good that the dormrooms are only for 4 people and that there is free parking at the front. Will definitely return here when I'm back in Christchurch.
Perfect place to stay in Christchurch. Located close to many place of interest in the center of the city. The room and bathroom are very clean and functional (plenty of place to charge devices !) There is a good atmosphere, particularly in the garden which is great to hang out with (the chicken are adorable). The owner is very accessible. I recommend greatly !
This hostel is very authentic. Walking in feels like you've arrived at an international living room; the vibe is instantly welcoming. It's very easy to meet other travellers here. Plus, good location, free Wi-Fi, and a garden with a Calisthenics "monkey bar" are good bonuses!
A great small hostel with excellent clean facilities! My friend and I love the fact that it is small as we have been able to talk to all the lovely staff and other guests! It is a perfect distance from the city and the garden and chickens are so cute!! Loving our stay here!
Unfortunately more like a half way house than a hostel. Very run down and uncomfortable. Staff seemed friendly enough but yeah this property is not good
Booked 2 days in advance and prepaid for 2 people. On arrival was told that I was upgraded to a different room but my partner wasn't?!?! We were told, that our bookings came in separate, but the front desk guy mentioned later, that he purposefully separates men and women, even though the dorms are mixed!? After calling it out he cursed us and threatened to call the police on us if we didn't leave immediately!! Absolutely horrendous, worst hostel experience I ever had. Gladly booking gave us a full refund. Avoid this place at all cost!
Great place. Lovely owner, friendly and sociable atmosphere, quiet rooms, nice garden. Favourite hostel so far.
One of my worst hostel experience. No heating in public space in full winter.. the boss is so strict (not possible to smoke tabaco in the garden, we've to go out in the street !!!), many warnings written everywhere, room too small. I felt bad since the beginning, impossible to relax there due to his own akward rules. Write on your description you re full anti tabaco !
I stayed for two nights; pleasant hostel at this price. The location is perfect. Amiable and helpful staff. Saw a notice that they banned smoking on the premise from 1st June onwards; excellent decision! They need to make other guests follow the kitchen usage policy so that other guests clean the communal areas after their turn.
