   Pretty positive experience from the 2 nights that I stayed. The hostel is huge, spread across to floors with a bit of a weird layout. Large social space downstairs, kitchen, dorms, bathrooms upstairs. In terms of location it’s fantastic, it’s an easy walk into the city. My only real complaint was that it was quite dirty. There was dust across the windowsill and on my shelf and the kitchen was a mess. This is most likely due to having so many people use it. There was some noise through the night as well but nothing unbearable.

   Drab hostel which needs updating. Rooms are dreary bar the bedspread. No shower gel in the dispenser and no battery in tv remote- suggests poor housekeeping. Apart from the location - nothing to really like. There are so many great hostels in NZ so urbanz - learn from them (Marion in Wellie snd Global Village in Greymouth to name just two) and up your game ! Finally worst instant coffee ever - brought our own and not a cafetière in the kitchen - we asked!

   Our two-night stay in Urbanz Queenstown was extremely pleasant! Each bed had its own personal nightlight and outlets and a curtain for privacy, though the curtain didn’t go past the bunk ladder. The bedding was super comfortable and towels were provided. Toilet paper wasn’t always available in all of the bathrooms. The showers were a decent size and there were hooks and shelves for your belongings. The hostel location is pretty central to the city which is very convenient and walking distance to the botanic gardens and nearby shops. At reception, we were advised of some parking spaces which were free 24/7, which was pretty nice. The wifi was pretty bad in all areas of the hostel, and the layout is confusing because there’s no singular staircase that takes you to all the floors, you’ll need to weasel your way around to make your way to the kitchen. Reception isn’t always staffed, so if the sliding door is unlocked during the “open” hours, the hostel isn’t very secure as you can access almost any part of the hostel without a key card once you get past reception. The cost for the two nights we stayed was reasonable. The kitchen was well stocked, absolutely beautiful and had an abundance of space for both dry and cold storage. I’d stay here again!

   1. I placed an order through my phone, knowing that I needed to check in at 9 PM. I rushed to arrive before 9 PM, but the main entrance was already locked. I had to rely on other guests to enter the lobby. 2. After completing the check-in process, I received the room card and a small note. However, the room card was not properly set up, so I couldn’t entery room. Eventually, with the help of on-site staff, I was able to enter the room. Thanks those who helped. 3. I booked a room with a window, but the room provided to me had no windows. The receptionist who worked on the night of July 22 was unqualified and terrible.

   Hostel is alright for a couple of days. Great location. Rooms are ok, equipped with lockers, nothing special but clean that’s most important. Bathrooms are also clean. The kitchen though has not enough hotplates to cook on in my opinion, gets dirty quickly and the storage space for your food is very limited. Also some of my food got stolen. In general there’s a bit of a lack of atmosphere. All in all it‘s ok for a few nights as I said but I wouldn’t necessarily stay longer than that
