Can definitely recommend the Schnitzel! I ordered it with mashed potatoes and peas. So incredibly delicious! And the staff was so kind and friendly as well!
Thirsty Acres is a brilliant venue. We've now been there for dinner, lunch and brunch. Each time the food was tasty and well presented, the service quick and friendly, and the place very comfortable. The prices are reasonable too. Well worth the trip out from Chch
This was a great place to end our great southern holiday at and invited our friends to before heading to the airport! Great food with great options for adults and kids menus! Great service! Even has a kids corner to keep the little one entertained while you catch up with old friends! Great all around! Will definitely be stopping off next time we come through!
Welcoming interior and comfortable place to dine in for breakfast. Friendly service at Thirsty Acres and happy to accommodate a larger table of 7 without a booking. The food and coffee was presented nicely and also tested pretty good too. Would recommend if you're in the area or looking for something to eat/drink.
A lovely and clean venue with friendly, welcoming staff. The coffee was excellent, featuring beautifully crafted cappuccino art that was truly eye-catching. The only drawback is the limited outdoor parking, which can fill up quickly on busy days.
Lovely brunch. Great menu choices. The staff were welcoming. Love the log burner so warm and cosy. Think we have found a new cafe to frequent.

The new pub building is great, modern but friendly. The staff are great. The bartender and waitress were both friendly. The beef burger was good overall but not stand out. And they had a couple of nice craft beers on tap.
The first thing that stands out is the design of the building: it is striking. It is welcoming on the inside. The menu is comprehensive. There is a good selection of gluten free dishes. I had the calamari. My partner had the non gluten free fish and chips. Ordering was straight forward. Food was brought to our group in reasonable time given the size of our group and how busy the lunchtime crowd was on a particularly cold, wet Saturday.
An amazing experience here, we would highly recommend! The food was incredibly tasty and the waitresses and bar staff were all so lovely and welcoming. The restaurant was so busy and gave the place an awesome buzz to it! The owner was also gracious enough to give us a complimentary drink to make up for a small wait on food which was understandable for a busy night! There aren't many options in the area and this is by far the best choice. Overall a great experience and we will be heading back very soon!
