I spent $330 on a pair of dr Mertens boots, they were faulty, I took them back after six weeks and was told they need them to bed in they can take a year or two, the past year or two iv only been able to wear them for an hour or two at a time before my toes goes numb and I get a bruise across the top of my foot, I took these to a cobbler to see if the tongue can be sewn on properly he said he can but it's a manufacturer fault and he cant promise how it would look after unstitching then re stitching, so I took them back to street legal who claim that because of the amount of time (I was advised to take this long) and they had an independent shoe repair person on church corner say it was not a manufacturer fault they would do nothing. I asked how they could deem this not a manufacturer fault when its blatantly obvious it is, and the store manager said because she wore them herself and had others wear them and they all said they felt fine. I don't want a replacement or money back I just wanted them fixed. I'm appalled at them all putting my boots on and disgusted that I have spent $330 on a pair of boots that I cannot even wear through no fault of my own. And to add to this the manager at Street legal is completely rude has no skills at dealing with the public yells and talks over you then accuses you of this. I asked many times for a contact for dr Mertens she just said she doesn't know , I asked for the contact details for the repair place who deemed them not faulty but she didn't know all she said was they are on church corner. So I'm going to pick my boots up and take them to the cobbler and have them repaired and post here the report that proves they are a manufacturer fault and that street legal and dr Mertens refused to do anything about it.
Walked in to buy 2 pairs of shoes and wasn't even spoken to when I smiled and said good morning to the only lady there, and I was the only one in the shop. Then I asked a question, and she rudely responded and walked off. I know you may have been having a bad morning, but no excuse for rudeness
