Just passed by and ordered two vegetable pizzas for takeaway, and they were incredibly amazing! The Fiorentina and the Vegetarian pizzas were both fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Definitely exceeded expectations — highly recommended!
Pizza was absolutely delicious. One of the best I personally have ever had. If you like woodfired pizzas and a Cosy spot for a drink this is a great place to come.
Wow honestly what a beautiful delicious and welcoming environment me and my other half came here for a nice dinner and well the bird word offered more than nice. We were both blown away by how amazing the food and service was, A young waitress we had was excellent so polite and onto even though it was busy hours. Lovely place would 100% recommend will be coming back
The pizza fritte was absolute perfection — crispy clouds of joy. Craig (the husband with annoyingly good taste) is still banging on about the stuffed dates. The pizzas? Stunning. Honestly, I’d fight someone for the last slice. Service was brilliant too, friendly without hovering like hungry seagulls. ✔️ 10/10 would devour again.
Tries their Ravioli- it was the first time ever i tried ravioli, must say its delicious, very rich in taste and flavour. Slow cooked lamb was perfect and how can i forget about the lemon chicken it was delicious too. Overall: worth the money. 5/5
We had a great brunch at the Birdwood on Sunday. the food was delicious, generous and very well presented. I would not hesitate in recommending it and we will definitely be returning soon.
This is one of the best pizzas I've ever had! The dough is thin and crispy and everything tastes so italian authentic! Just perfect!
We have been to The Birdwood a number of times, either just the two of us and with larger groups. We have also had takeaways from there. The food is excellent...just so good! I have tried almost everything on the menu and haven't been disappointed. The service can be a little slow at times, but the staff more than make up for it. Very friendly and they know their menu. We love the atmosphere at The Birdwood. It is local and it is relaxed. You can there dressed up or smart casual and none would be out of place.

Best slow cooked lamb in Christchurch, better than Pedros. All the food we had here is amazing. We have already been back since and will definitely be back again.
